The father, Chris Ostroushko was convicted after it was found that he had received thousands of dollars in unemployment benefits when he was actually employed.

He lost his job after his assault on Hernandez.

A Turning Point USA (TPUSA) reporter, Savanah Hernandez, was assaulted by multiple protesters during an anti-ICE demonstration outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The incident, captured on video, involved protesters blowing horns, yelling obscenities, and physically attacking Hernandez, who was covering the event; she sustained minor injuries including scrapes and soreness.
Four individuals have been arrested and face charges in connection with the assault, with three specifically linked to the attack on the journalist and a deputy.
The attackers have been identified as Paige Ostroushko, a University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point soccer player, along with her parents, Chris and Deyanna Ostroushko, who are accused of shoving and striking the reporter.
The FBI and the Department of Justice have opened a federal investigation into the assault, which Hernandez described as an unprovoked attack on a journalist simply for filming.
While one protester, William Kelly, was accused of inciting the mob, the primary physical assault was carried out by the Ostroushko family.
