DOJ Documents: Further Proof That Comey Lied to FISA Court and Used Fake Dossier to Target Trump, Contradicts Strzok’s Denials That He Had Nothing to do With FISA Warrant

DOJ/FBI lied to the FISA court that a Yahoo News article corroborated Steele’s dossier, then swore that Steele was not the source of that article (he was). That was redacted, but Grassley quoted from it in his Steele criminal referral.

  • The Grassley memo states that Christopher Steele had claimed to the FBI that he had not shared the information in his dossier with the media prior to David Corn of Mother Jones in October 2016

  • However, Christopher SteeleĀ disclosed details in his dossier to Michael Isikoff of Yahoo News in September 2016, which were published in an article onĀ Sept 23, 2016

  • The FBI submitted the Yahoo article in it’s FISA warrant application to surveil Carter Page, (reportedly) in order to show that the information in Steele’s dossier was becoming public, and that the need for the FISA warrant was urgent

  • The FBI stated (of the article) in the application “The FBI does not believe that [Steele] directly provided this information to the press” This appears to strengthen the claim that Steele had denied doing this, since it makes no sense the FBI would believe this without asking him if he had.
