EPA Jackboots Have Crying Jag Over Trump’s Victory

From Twitchy.

How quickly the tables turn. Not long ago people were worried the Environmental Protection Agency would be running roughshod over every aspect of Americans’ lives, and now many at the EPA have reportedly been reduced to tears over the possible fate of the bloated and out-of-control federal entity:

U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early.

And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s victory.

“People are upset. Some people took the day off because they were depressed,” said John O’Grady, president of American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents thousands of EPA employees. After Election Day, “people were crying,” added O’Grady, who works in EPA’s Region 5 office in Chicago. “They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home.”

EPA employees stand to see some of the most drastic changes under the Trump administration, and they may be taking things a bit harder than other government workers.

The president-elect has vowed to repeal some of the rules they’ve toiled on for the last eight years during the Obama administration, including the Clean Power Plan rule to cut power plants’ greenhouse gas emissions.

Trump has even suggested abolishing the agency entirely, although that would be an uphill political climb. Trump has picked a top climate change skeptic to lead his EPA transition team — Myron Ebell of the Competitive Enterprise Institute — and has promised sweeping reforms in the agency that’s long been a target for industry groups and Republicans who say its rules overreach.

“If you look at the seven stages of grief, I’m still in denial. I will not look at the news. I will not read the news,” said an EPA career employee.

The kicker is, they’ll get ‘counseling’ on taxpayer’s dime.

I hope Trump succeeds in totally doing away with these thugs.

These corrupt motherfuckers were responsible for toxic spills in a Colorado mine and a cotton mill site in Georgia.

When the EPA showed up in Colorado, the mine owner tried to stop them from accessing the property, but the bumbling assclowns threatened him with a $35,000 fine a day if he didn’t knuckle under:

The owner of the Colorado’s Gold King Mine says he tried to stop the Environmental Protection Agency from gaining access to his property, but that he relented after the agency threatened to pound him with ruinous fines if he refused.

……(Todd) Hennis said he opposed having the EPA investigate leakage from the inactive mine near Silverton, Colorado, because he had tangled with the agency in previous years over its work at another mine he owns in Leadville, Colorado.

“I said, ‘No, I don’t want you on my land out of fear that you will create additional pollution like you did in Leadville,’” Mr. Hennis told Colorado Watchdog.org. “They said, ‘If you don’t give us access within four days, we will fine you $35,000 a day.’”

And of course, they tried to cover up the disaster.

The EPA is one of the most oppressive, hectoring agencies in government.

The tyrants at the EPA couldn’t care less about the damage they cause in the name of the “environment”, and no one will stop them.

Just some of the malignant tactics practiced by the EPA:

The agency engages in “sue and settle” tactics, a politically driven policy that obstructs the efforts of states to clean up environmental problems on their own, and instead implements jackbooted “command and control”.

A property owner in Wyoming  was threatened with civil and criminal penalties for building a stock pond on his own land.

They also want to develop a wireless system that can be placed in hotels to track how long guests are in the shower, all in an attempt to get them to “modify their behavior.”

The EPA released personal information on roughly 80,000 American farmers and cattle ranchers, in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by radical hostile enviro-nuts, Earth Justice, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and Pew Charitable Trust  in a blatant act of intimidation.

As part of Obama’s power grabs and his  ‘green agenda’, his regime declared itself lord and master of all bodies of water in the U.S.

FYI: How the EPA got so much power and who is behind it:
The EPA was established by Richard Nixon in 1970, in response to the widespread smog and pollution problem throughout the U.S. What began as an effort to ensure a clean environment, soon took on proportions of an out-of-control big government, punitive actions, and regulation. Instead of using a common sense approach, they enacted ham-handed laws that cost lives. The use of the pesticide DDT was restricted in 1972, resulting in the deaths of millions of people in Africa who died from mosquito-borne malaria.

In 2007, the EPA got more authority when the Supreme Court ruled that the Clean Air Act gave the EPA the right to regulate “greenhouse gases”, including carbon dioxide. That was like giving crack to an addict. Carbon dioxide is what we exhale. It’s what plants ingest to use during photosynthesis to produce glucose; their growth material. Junk science trumps real science at the EPA. (“global warming”, anyone?)

The agency’s stifling anti-coal regulations are written by the George Soros-backed Center for American Progress; a leftwingnut think tank opposed to free market enterprise and capitalism in general.

When British petroleum accidentally spilled oil in the Gulf, the EPA was all over them like stink on shit. BP took responsibility and cleaned it up on their own.

I’d love to see the EPA reamed up the ass and disbanded for this shit, but aside from damage control in the form of PR,  Obama did nothing to stop it.  Under his regime, corrupt government agencies are immune from liability.

Under Trump, they won’t get off that easy.
