Angela Merkel’s government is preparing a new bill that will force Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to hand over data, including passwords, of those accused of engaging in “hate speech” online.
Minister of Justice Christine Lambrecht, a member of the Social Democrats (SPD), is preparing the bill, which will force service providers, email hosts, online retailers, and others to give the government the usernames, passwords, IP addresses, and more of suspects, MDR reports.Lambrecht was slammed by many over the proposal, with Hamburg’s data protection officer Johannes Caspar calling it an attack on privacy.
“The fight against the ugly phenomena of right-wing extremism and hate crime apparently acts as a door opener for a comprehensive expansion of state control powers,” he warned.
Note to Caspar: Leftwing extremism ain’t much better, especially when it’s in control of state powers.
The German minister defended herself and the bill, claiming that the passwords and data would only be requested as part of a court order and only in serious cases.
“It is not a question of asking for passwords en masse, it is a completely wrong representation and not at all the point and purpose,” she said.……Germany already has one of the most draconian sets of laws concerning “hate” on social media, including approving legislation imposing fines of up to 50 million euros on social media companies who do not remove hate content in what the government considers a timely manner.
The German authorities are also known to engage in large-scale raids of citizens accused of spreading “hate speech” online, with a 2016 raid seeing 60 homes searched across 14 states.
As if Germany’s suicidal “multicultural” policies weren’t enough, the authorities are prosecuting anyone who protests the carnage by muzzie ‘immigrants’ and also worked out a deal with (*surprise*) Facebook to censor criticism that constitutes “hate speech” in a country that has no equivalent to freedom of speech. Germany has actually made it a crime to criticize Islam on social media. The German media complies.
Germany’s slide into socialist autocracy and disaster began when Merkel jumped into the political sack with the leftwing Social Democrats and subsequently opened the floodgates to muzzie invaders.
The U.K. has the same jackbooted response to political and social dissent.
Here in America, the leftwing owned and operated social media is busy creating a global censorship database and a process to label political opponents “hate agents”. During the Obama regime, Former AG Loretta Lynch declared a fatwa against what she deemed as “anti-Islamic hate speech”, and the Feds spent nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and ‘hate speech’ on Twitter.
The hag from San Francisco, aka Nancy Pelosi, thinks your freedom of speech should be curtailed. And she’s not the only one. Freedom of speech is an exclusive right reserved by Dems, according to leftie New Hampshire legislator, Cynthia Chase. She actually wants to pass a law that “will restrict the ‘freedoms’ that they (conservatives) think they will find here.” Her sentiment is shared by John (band-aid wound) Kerry, Paul Krugman, Jay Rockefeller and Sheila Jackson-Lee.
It’s incredible but not surprising how the unhinged moonbats in the Democratic party want to censor everyone but themselves.
The only speech acceptable on leftwing-saturated college campuses is the rhetoric ordained by academic intelligentsia and the radical student body. And Antifa.
Facebook engages in censorship and outright banning of conservative users and sites.
Twitter is just as bad. Jack Dorsey’s drones ban people whenever they see something they don’t like. An undercover video from Project Veritas shows Twitter employees bragging on their censorship skills against conservatives.
Microsoft announced it will ban accounts that utilize “offensive language.” In other words, whatever Silicon Valley deems “offensive”.
We expect this kind of shit out of communist totalitarian regimes like China, not Western countries, especially the United States, where people expect basic freedoms and the right to voice opinions without being silenced.
