Todd Starnes from Fox News Radio reported this earlier this month.
Rep. Randy Forbes (R-VA) said he’s been monitoring a steady stream of religious discrimination complaints over the past four years from Christian Soldiers.
“It’s been a steady attack on faith and religious freedom that we’ve seen in our military like we’ve never seen before,” Forbes told Fox News. “We are getting a lot of calls from Soldiers saying ‘we’re afraid of going to church, we’re afraid to be seen praying, we’re afraid that would hurt our careers, our promotions.’”
Forbes grilled Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel about religious liberty issues during a House Armed Services Committee on Thursday.
Forbes asked questions about instances of the Christian faith coming under attack in the military including:
- Commanders barred from disclosing any programs that are tied to the Chaplaincy or any programs involving religion;
- The Air Force banning the word ‘God’ from an Air force patch logo – even though the reference had no religious connotation;
- A Navy directive that banned Bibles at Walter Reed Hospital;
- An Army Reserve training program that listed Evangelical Christians and Catholics as examples of religious extremism;
- An Army email that listed prominent Christian ministries like the Family Research Council and American Family Association as “domestic hate groups.”
At least 40 lawmakers have signed a letter penned by Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) demanding the Secretary of Army apologize and investigate the “domestic hate group” email that was sent by a lieutenant colonel at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
“When you get the U.S. military starting to paint in the minds of Soldiers that Catholics and Evangelical Christians are the equivalent of Al Qaeda or Hamas – that’s a big problem,” Forbes said. “That’s not a little problem.”
Hagel said he had no idea what the congressman was talking about.
“I don’t know about all the specifics of the information you presented,” he told the lawmaker. “I will get it. And I will find out about it.”
Chuck is clueless about the Dhimmification of the United States Army, even though it’s gained steam since Obama took office.
The Ft Campbell Lieutenant Colonel in question is LTC Jack Rich. Read his entire email, HERE.
I fired off an email of my own to the Lieutenant Colonel, with the following:
What? No mention of “Da Joos”?
Did you actually write that shit without giving proper credit to the misogynist, anti-Semitic, anti-Christian, anti-Western Islamofascists who should be at the top of your list?
BTW: Muslims aren’t exactly tolerant of homosexuality.
You want the “crudest type of name-calling”, Lieutenant Colonel? Get a load of what the ‘tolerant’ Dem Left calls black and Hispanic Republican conservatives and Tea Party members. “Oreo, “Uncle Tom”, “House Nigger”, “token”, and a variety of other vulgar epithets. Their sin is choosing substance over pigment and the leftwing narrative; which the Left finds intolerable.
You’re in good company with your one-sided liberal viewpoints, Lieutenant Colonel.
Janet “Big Sis” Napolitano and Obama have compiled an Enemies List and Domestic Threat Assessment composed of Iraq/Afghanistan War veterans, outspoken Obama critics, anti-illegal alien activists, gun owners, white middle-class Americans, and Americans who covet individual liberties. By their definition, that makes me a threat.
That seems to be the trend.
Military instructors at some universities have also indulged in civil war with the Tea Party scenarios designed to create the fatuous impression that patriotic support of the U.S. Constitution is “extreme”.
Last I checked, you took an oath to protect and defend that constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. If you’re really that upset over affronts to Army Values, look no further than Obama, who has trampled all over the document since he got into office.
13 Soldiers at Ft. Hood were slaughtered by a muslim Army officer who shouted “Allah U Akbar” as he gunned them down.
A muslim assassinated two Soldiers outside an Arkansas recruiting center.
I was deployed with the 101st Airborne Division in what was to be called OIF, when SGT Asan Akbar, a muslim convert, used grenades and his M4 to kill CPT. Christopher Scott Seifert, an S2 Officer in one of our brigades, and wound 15 others at Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait.
Our military commanders and the civilian hierarchy in D.C. have tried their best to ignore the presence of radical, anti-American muslims in the ranks.
We’re still fighting a war on the turf of muslim zealots in Afghanistan who brought their jihad to our soil. Or have you forgotten?
I was a Soldier for a total of 30 years (10 Reserve, 20 Active), and I did two combat tours in Iraq. I cannot remember a time in our history when the Army would target peaceful Christians over Islamic terrorists, enemy combatants, and their supporters.
I’m agnostic, so I don’t particularly care for any institutionalized religion, especially a violent theocracy like Islam. Radical muslims carry out world wide atrocities in the name of their religion, but you’ve got your panties in a wad over those scary right-wing Christians. The next time you compile a list of “religious extremists”, you better put muslims in the same category as the Westboro Baptist nutbags. They have a lot in common.
The insane kowtowing to Islam reared its ugly head in the form of a draft Army manual, which lists “making derogatory comments about the Taliban,” “advocating women’s rights,” “any criticism of pedophilia,” “directing any criticism towards Afghans,” “mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct” or “anything related to Islam”, as “taboo conversation topics” that Soldiers should avoid.
The powers that be have avoided fighting a real all out the war against the Islamic enemy, and their philosophy reflects their dicked up policies.
