Kucinich Kisses up to the Enemy

In another blatant violation of the Logan Act, (ala Pelosi) Dennis Kucinich took a trip to Syria to give aid and comfort to enemies of the United States.

The squinty little shit-for-brains gave an interview on Damascus TV, cemented his support for America’s enemies, and extolled Syrian President Bashar Assad, one of the most blatant perpetrators of terrorism in the region.

Said Kucinich:

….”was a very good meeting. It was a meeting where President Assad showed a real desire to play a role in helping to create a peaceful settlement of the conditions in Iraq, as well as a grander approach towards creating peace. So it was a very important meeting, and I felt honored to have the chance to speak with him.”

That’s fucking rich. Assad is one of the reasons why there’s conflict in the Middle East, not to mention Syria’s funding and training of terrorist cells.

“I feel the United States is engaging in an illegal occupation … I don’t want to bless that occupation with my presence,” he said in an interview in Lebanon, after visiting Syria. “I will not do it.”

Newsflash you inbecile: It’s not illegal. Congress voted to approve the war in October of 2002.  Secondly, it’s a pretty good place to ‘occupy’ in the fight against Islamofascism.

He demonstrated his complete stupidity and disregard for facts:

“The fact of the matter is we are all being weakened by continuing a war that’s based on a lie. This war was based on lies. Iraq didn’t have the weapons of mass destruction. It wasn’t connected to 9/11. It had nothing to do with Al Qaeda’s role in 9/11,” Kucinich said.

Kucinich is so far off base, it’s hard to know where to start.  He forgot about the tons of WMD discovered by American inspectors and troops in several facilities and bunkers around Iraq.

NO ONE ever said that Saddam Hussein was one of the masterminds behind 9/11. I defy anyone to find one single quote supporting that assertion. His contibution to terrorism was bad enough. What they DID say was that he was a serious and imminent threat to the region and U.S. forces. He did lend support to al Qadea and terrorist groups. He gave ‘reward money’ to the families of suicide bombers, harbored Musab al-Zarqawi for a time, and provided terrorists with funding and training in northern Iraq.

The despicable actions of this sorry excuse for a U.S. Senator should not go unpunished. What he and Pelosi did is treason. It’s a direct violation of the Logan Act which spells out the types of violations and penalities:

“The Logan Act (18 U.S.C.A. § 953 [1948]) is a federal statute making it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization”.

It states:

“Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.”
