Nice way to disrespect the military.
A Memphis restaurant is facing intense backlash after its owner openly admitted that he refused to serve four uniformed members of the Tennessee National Guard and says he has absolutely no regrets.
According to local reports, four members of the Memphis Safe Task Force, who were simply trying to get a meal while in uniform on Saturday night, were denied service at Tamboli’s Pizza & Pasta in Midtown Memphis.
Restaurant owner Miles Tamboli later confirmed the decision in a public statement.
Tamboli defended his actions by arguing that the National Guard’s deployment has made residents fearful and cited criticism of the federal task force operating in Memphis. He also referenced the recent fatal shooting involving National Guard members and a civilian that remains under investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
His statement to Action News 5 included disingenuous shit like: “I love this country and I love this city, and that is exactly why I made this call. I want Memphis to be safe. Every business owner does. And the honest truth is that Memphis was already getting safer before this Task Force ever arrived.”
Total lie.
Memphis has historically recorded some of the highest violent crime rates in the United States, with FBI data from 2024 identifying it as having the highest rate of violent crime per capita in the nation, standing 344% above the national average. There was a 40% drop in crime after the task force was deployed to the city. Evidently, the cops couldn’t handle it all.
This is what has his panties in a wad?:
Since the launch of the Memphis Safe Task Force initiative, officers have made 10,017 arrests, including 92 for homicide, 1,012 for controlled substances, 962 for firearms violations, and 105 for sex offenses. Of those arrested, 293 were juveniles and 1,062 were known gang members. The task force has seized 1,708 illegal firearms.
The Tennessee National Guard was actively deployed in Memphis during the July 4, 2026 holiday weekend as part of the Memphis Safe Task Force, a federal initiative established by President Donald Trump in September 2025 to combat violent crime. Troops intervened to break up widespread brawls downtown after a video surfaced of black thug threatening to kill a police officer.
Early on July 5, 2026, National Guard troops fatally shot 20-year-old Tyrin Johnson during a foot chase after he reportedly turned toward them with a weapon. While the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation ruled the shooting as self-defense, Johnson’s family has demanded the release of body camera footage and questioned the circumstances, noting he was armed for protection after being previously attacked.
Armed for protection my ass. He showed up at a riot to participate in the chaos, not protect himself or anyone else.
By all means, release the body cam footage. It will dismantle the black radicals “racism” narrative and show Johnson’s criminal behavior.
Just like the rest of the animals:
The truth is that Tamboli and his friends are anti-ICE, anti-law enforcement, hate the military, and don’t like the National Guard doing their job.
Fuck him. Karma never loses an address.
