The scrunt, who is already married, married her own brother to get him into the country. But in Minnesotistan, immigration fraud is no problem.
That’s who we are now. Those are our values now.
Must be the enlarged print version of the 7th Century screed.
From Creeping Sharia
Taxpayer-funded Voice of America found a representative from the terror-listed Muslim organization MAS for commentary on the Islamization of Minnesota:
“It’s been an unlikely journey from a Somali refugee camp in Kenya to the Minnesota State House of Representatives, but 34-year-old Ilhan Omar’s historic rise to become the first Somali-American legislator in the United States is now a beacon of hope for Muslims, and particularly Muslim women, around the world. VOA’s Kane Farabaugh was present for Omar’s first day on the job at the Minnesota State Capitol and has more from St. Paul.”
Ilhan is the same Muslim woman who Reportedly Married Her Brother but the Feds refused to investigate her immigration fraud.
Mary Tyler Moore she ain’t.
From The Star Tribune:
Ilhan Omar, whose victory in a Minneapolis DFL primary last week virtually assured her of becoming the nation’s first Somali-American legislator, denied recent reports that she married her brother to commit immigration fraud while remaining married to the man who is the father of her three children.
Allegations that she married her brother and is legally married to two people are categorically ridiculous and false,” campaign spokesman Ben Goldfarb said Monday.
……Hennepin County records show Omar applied for a marriage license in 2002 but never used it. It was not immediately known whom she planned to marry. Seven years later, Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in Eden Prairie, according to their marriage record. Elmi could not be reached for comment. Minnesota courts have no records of Omar and Elmi filing for divorce.
Her campaign flatly denied that Elmi is her brother. It would only say that she and Ahmed Hirsi, who is pictured in campaign literature and is the father of their three children, are together and raising a family.
Scott Johnson, a writer at Power Line, has been digging into Omar’s background:
In early August, 33-year-old Ilhan Omar became an overnight sensation in Minnesota politics. Her primary victory over 22-term incumbent Phyllis Kahn secured the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party (DFL) endorsement of Omar’s candidacy to represent House District 60B in the state legislature. Minneapolis’s Star Tribune trumpeted Omar’s victory in a huge headline on its front page, proclaiming that the Somali immigrant’s victory had “made history.” The paper followed up with two more retrospective stories admiring Omar’s triumph.
……As many candidates do, Omar has made her personal background an integral part of her campaign. But neither the candidate nor the reporters who covered her have shown much interest in exploring one aspect of her personal story that recently came to public attention: the fact that she is not legally married to the man she advertises as the husband and the father of her three children. In fact, she is legally married to another man—who may be her brother. A posting on the SomaliSpot discussion board alleged that Omar had married the man touted as her husband in 2002 before marrying her brother for fraudulent purposes in 2009. The post, which seems to have been written by someone from Minneapolis’s Somali community, was quickly deleted. By the time it came to my attention, the post was only available via a Google cache (now also deleted). If the story is true, however, it suggests that Omar had engaged in some kind of dishonest activity in connection with her marriage to her brother (which by itself would be illegal).
I originally checked out the SomaliSpot story online through the Minnesota Official Marriage System. Inputting Omar’s name, I found that the two marriages cited in the discussion board post checked out as indicated. The site reflected Omar’s 2002 marriage to her advertised husband, Ahmed Aden (later Ahmed Hirsi), and her 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi (identified in the SomaliSpot post as Omar’s brother). A few days after the primary, I submitted written questions to representatives of the Omar campaign, citing the SomaliSpot post, and asking whether Omar’s second marriage had been entered into with her brother for dishonest purposes. That same afternoon, I received a message from Omar’s press contact indicating that the campaign would get back to me later that day. I didn’t hear back from campaign officials directly, but I did receive a response from Minneapolis criminal defense attorney Jean Brandl. It provided no answer to my question, and implied that the question itself evidenced bigotry against Omar and her candidacy for public office.
I posted an account of all this on Power Line. The Star Tribune followed up on the story the following week, but Omar declined to be interviewed……Omar issued a statement that went back to the royal flush of bigotry accusations and decried the “Trump-style misogyny, racism, anti-immigration rhetoric and Islamophobic division” allegedly motivating questions about her marital status. When Star Tribune reporter Patrick Coolican requested a comment from me for his story that day, I asked him who Elmi is. “They won’t tell me,” he said.
Controversy continued to mount. The following day, Omar issued a formal written statement explaining that she had requested—but never formally executed—a marriage license for her first marriage, the one her campaign has publicly touted, to her husband and the father of her children. She married him in an Islamic ceremony in 2002, but never filed an executed marriage license with the state. What I found online reflected that Omar had in fact applied for a license to marry Aden/Hirsi. (The entry on the Minnesota Official Marriage System has since been scrubbed.) The statement further explained that Omar had married her current legal husband—Ahmed Nur Said Elmi—in 2009. Though they split in 2011, with Elmi returning to the United Kingdom, Omar never got around to dissolving the marriage. The statement described Omar’s 2002 husband as “the love of [her] life.” Current campaign spokesman Michael Howard has declared that the statement would be Omar’s last word on the matter. On this point, Omar has kept her promise. She has failed to respond to questions from me, or respond to interview requests from several local reporters. Give Omar credit for consistency.
One local reporter remains unimpressed and unintimidated by these tactics. Writing for the Minnesota-based site Alpha News, Preya Samsundar is untroubled by the Omar campaign’s cries of racism. She comes from a family of Guyanese immigrants who trace their lineage to indentured Indian servants brought to Guyana by the British. Using social media as a primary source, Samsundar has found information suggesting that Elmi, the man Omar married in Minnesota in 2009, is indeed her brother. Omar’s own Instagram photos from the summer of 2015 place her in London with relatives, and with a man later identified as Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Soon after her marital history became an issue, however, Omar closed her Instagram account to the public. When the account became public again, Samsundar found that the original photo collage of Omar and Elmi was no longer included. Samsundar also discovered that accounts once connected to Elmi have disappeared since the controversy began. Even LinkedIn pages and Elmi’s professional portfolio pages have gone missing. New accounts for Elmi have appeared under a different name, and without his identifying photo.
Samsundar’s article: HERE.
The two marriages are on file and one of them is to her brother. There is no divorce, so she is married to two men, but her campaign toadies think this will blow over.
Aside from her bigamy, she’s the typical radical muzzie activist who got elected in a state known for embracing Islamofascists and far-Left DemProg shit stains. The Somali population is producing its fair share of terrorists and Omar is quick to defend them.
The Islamic insurgency is flooding Minnesota:
Minnesota is home to the largest Somali population in America. It is estimated that over 125,000 Somalis live there, most of whom are in the Minneapolis area. This community sent at least 22 Islamic jihadi fighters overseas to fight for the terrorist group Al Shabaab, although some estimate the number is closer to four dozen.
The Cedar Riverside neighborhood is also called “Little Mogadishu” in reference to Somalia’s capital. Some Minneapolis residents feel parts of their city have become like a third world nation.
Inside a 10 mile radius of Minneapolis city-center, there are at least 29 Islamic Centers/mosques, and an unknown number of home-mosques. The Twin Cities area is home to Hamas organizations including CAIR and Islamic Associations. The Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim Students Associations (MSAs) are on at least 21 Minnesota college and university campuses. There are MSAs in at least 11 Minnesota high schools recruiting jihadis and turning public opinion towards the Palestinian Cause (Hamas) and away from Israel.
Other Muslim Brotherhood (jihadi) organizations in and around the Twin Cities area include the Islamic Societies in Woodbury and Willmar, the Muslim American Society (MAS), and others.
The Twin Cities is home to the first official organization representing Al-Azhar University in Egypt -the Islamic University of Minnesota (IUM). Al-Azhar is the oldest and most authoritative school of Islamic jurisprudence on the planet. At IUM students are taught that killing Jews, waging jihad, and imposing sharia on the world are obligations for all Muslims.
Minneapolis and St. Paul are also home to the Minnesota Dawah Institute. This Institute focuses on spreading Islamic Dawah, the call to Islam, a mandatory requirement before jihad can be waged.
As a result of this invasion of Minnesota, the average Muslim on the street wants to overturn U.S. law and live by sharia. This includes the open support of killing people who mock Mohammad, Islam’s prophet. For a realistic view, see the Ami Horowitz short video on the streets of the Muslim Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, also known as the “West Bank” of the University of Minnesota, HERE.
Without exception, elected officials in the Twin Cities’ area have not only surrendered to local Islamic leaders, they are using the force of their positions to silence and attack Minnesota citizens who want to keep their freedom.
America’s first Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison, represents the 5th District of Minnesota, which includes Minneapolis. Ellison has been a vocal supporter of Hamas (CAIR) and the Muslim Brotherhood. Congressman Ellison is actively working to silence any criticism of Islam or jihad here in the United States, and works directly with the first Islamic political party here, the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations.
Watch the Congressional testimony of UTT’s Chris Gaubatz HERE about Congressman Ellison’s attendance at a Muslim Brotherhood event.
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton made his position clear when he told citizens of that state if they do not like the growing Muslim Somali population in Minnesota they can leave.
Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith is a hard-left Marxist who was the former Vice President of Planned Parenthood for Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Both Governor Dayton and Lieutenant Governor Smith have forged a strong working relationship with Hamas (CAIR) in Minneapolis.
Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges has bowed to the Islamic community, and advocates stopping “Islamophobia” instead of dealing with jihadi attacks in the United States and her state.
And just think, the assholes in Minnesota elected these shitbags and have done nothing to stop them.
Places like Dearborn, Michigan, Hamtramck, Michigan, and Minneapolis, have turned into radical muzzie enclaves. Jamaat Al Fuqra terrorists have established training centers across the United States. The Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, and the Arab-American Action Network, all facilitators of Islamic terrorism, operate freely in this county.
America had better wake the fuck up.
