The fifth batch.
The Justice Department found six new classified documents inside President Joe Biden’s Delaware home during a search by FBI agents, the president’s attorney announced Saturday night.
The discovery during a day-long search Friday marked the fifth time since November that classified materials have been found in an office or home of the 46th president.
“DOJ requested that the search not be made public in advance, in accordance with its standard procedures, and we agreed to cooperate,” Biden personal attorney Bob Bauer said in a statement.
“DOJ had full access to the President’s home, including personally handwritten notes, files, papers, binders, memorabilia, to-do lists, schedules, and reminders going back decades,” he added. “DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President. DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years.”
George Washington University law school professor Jonathan Turley said the latest discovery undercut Biden’s defense of an inadvertent mishandling of documents and required more than his stated lack of remorse.
“It becomes increasing implausible that dozens of documents were distributed to at least four different locations by pure ‘inadvertence,’” Turley tweeted Sunday morning, “At what point do the mounting stacks of classified documents produce a modicum of regret?”
The six memos found Friday are in addition to 11 classified documents found at the Biden home in Wilmington, Del., beginning on Dec. 20.
In addition, more classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington back on Nov. 2.
The discoveries have transformed the politics of a scandal that first started with the discovery of documents with classified markings in former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, which prompted an FBI raid.
Biden slammed Trump as irresponsible, only to see the controversy boomerang around on him with the discovery of classified materials in his own possession at insecure locations.
As recently as Friday Biden was trying to minimize the discoveries, saying there was “no there, there.”
But after the new search on Friday, congressional Republicans immediately seized on the revelation that even more documents had been found.
“I guess there wasn’t nothing there there, Mr. President,” Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., tweeted Saturday night in mocking derision.
It was just announced that Justice Department personnel searched Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home for 12 hours on Friday, with Biden’s personal attorneys and White House counsel present, and discovered six more classified documents that they have now taken possession of. Some of the documents reportedly go back to Biden’s time in the Senate, at least 14 years ago. Others were from his time as Vice President.
Biden would have had access to multiple sensitive documents when he was the Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2007 to 2009.
This news may also explain why White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain has now announced he’s leaving; he’s abandoning the sinking ship and he knows they’re going down.
The DOJ knew about Biden’s feckless handling of classified material, but agreed to hide the crime until now.
This was a coordinated coverup from the second they were discovered.
Those classified documents Biden hid from everyone, including the National Archives, have been there since 2017. He absconded with those them as Vice President, without the authority to possess or declassify them.
When he’s confronted with the crime, he smirks and laughs it off.
He’s had a lot to smirk about, given the 3-letter agencies’ efforts in refusing to investigate and prosecute the crimes and corruption of the Biden Crime Family. They’re too busy trampling American citizens’ civil liberties.
This feckless handling of Top Secret documents is just another crime he’s getting away with.
The evidence collected from Hunter Biden’s laptop is more than enough to indict and convict Joe, Hunter, and most of the immediate family. Joe Biden is ass deep in this. Hunter was operating as a bagman for the ‘Big Guy’, collecting and funneling money to his father. Federal agents know they have sufficient evidence to charge the Bidens with felonies, which they buried to protect them.
If that laptop belonged to the son of a Republican president, the liberal media conglomerate would have spent every waking minute covering the contents and the DOJ would have been all over it like stink on shit.
The FBI’s dog and pony show at Mar-a-Lago involved breaking into a safe which was an authorized SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) and displaying the documents on the floor as if that’s where they were found. He is allowed to have classified documents as long as they are secured and stored appropriately; they were. Trump has the authority to declassify the documents he possessed.
The raid on Mar-a-Lago is a prime example of selective politicized targeting. It’s simply a tactic to prevent President Trump from running for office in 2024. Don’t think for one second that if they had a basket full of bombshells that they wouldn’t be holding daily press conferences, squeezing all the notoriety out of it they could. It’s political theater.
President Trump gets the heavy handed home invasion, while Biden gets lawyers.
Trump keeping documents in a secured room locked with an FBI-requested padlock, at a heavily guarded private residence is “irresponsible,” but Biden keeping documents he wasn’t authorized to possess, in totally unsecure areas like a university office and his home garage, is okay.
Too bad the angry National Archive librarian didn’t get a whiff of this back in 2017.
The FBI never raided her home.
Clinton operative Sandy Berger stole classified documents from the national archives and destroyed evidence. He got off.
Former CIA Director John Deutch took classified information home and stored it on his personal computer. He was pardoned by Bubba Clinton, who kept tapes in his sock drawer, sent classified information to his daughter, and stored Whitewater documents in a trunk of a damaged car.
The Obama Foundation admitted that they kept classified documents in a furniture warehouse.
With the DOJ’s blessing.
I was an intelligence analyst for the bulk of my Army career. I had a TS/SCI clearance. If I had done a fraction of what these lowlifes got away with, I’d have been Court Martialed, given a dishonorable discharge, and thrown under Leavenworth.
