How Goldberg got into the chat:
It turns out that a recent White House controversy is a prime example of when automated help isn’t actually all that helpful.
Before President Donald Trump sparked economic upheaval with his “Liberation Day” reciprocal tariffs, the main thing the establishment media wanted to focus on involved the highly publicized Signal messaging app snafu.
In case you missed it, The Atlantic caused quite a stir when its editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg — a fierce Trump critic — was accidentally included in a Signal text chain.
That chain included some heavy hitters in the Trump administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
The group was discussing military action in Yemen against Houthi terrorists, which was a conversation that Goldberg obviously shouldn’t have been a part of.
Trump eventually revealed that it was Waltz who was the responsible party for the messaging mistake, but he has been against firing him.
……According to an exclusive report from the U.K. Guardian, details have now been leaked about how Waltz made this error — and Apple’s insistence on automating tasks played a big role in it.
This whole incident reportedly began while Trump was still running for president. Goldberg emailed the campaign regarding a claim that Trump mistreated wounded veterans, and that email eventually reached Trump representative Brian Hughes.
He “then copied and pasted the content of the email – including the signature block with Goldberg’s phone number – into a text message that he sent to Waltz, so that he could be briefed on the forthcoming story.”
The Guardian added: “Waltz did not ultimately call Goldberg, the people said, but in an extraordinary twist, inadvertently ended up saving Goldberg’s number in his iPhone – under the contact card for Hughes, now the spokesperson for the national security council.”
Waltz apparently accomplished this by accidentally confirming a suggestion made by Apple’s Siri artificial intelligence.
…….the number was erroneously saved during a ‘contact suggestion update’ by Waltz’s iPhone,” the British outlet added.
Apple support describes this feature as such: “Siri also suggests new contacts based on your use of other apps, such as email you receive in Mail and invitations you receive in Calendar.”
That app makes it too easy to exploit personal data. Waltz fucked up by not paying attention.
Signal is a messaging app known for its strong privacy and end-to-end encryption, making it secure for private communication. It allows users to send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, and files for free, and supports voice and video calls, including group calls for up to 40 participants.
Did Mike Waltz’s top deputy Alex Wong add Jeffrey Goldberg to Waltz’s contact list and add him to the Signal group? Wong has ties to the Chicoms.
Not good.
The vetting process for the Trump cabinet needs to be overhauled.

The Atlantic magazine’s editor in chief was included on a message chain in which top Trump administration officials — including Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and national security adviser Mike Waltz — discussed strikes against the Houthi terror group in Yemen, in a stunning breach of national security.
Jeffrey Goldberg revealed the jaw-dropping mishap Monday, writing he connected with Waltz on Signal March 11 and was invited to join a chain called the “Houthi PC small group” two days later, He received a stream of internal deliberations and operational details, including Vance disagreeing with President Trump about the attack.
The bombs fell on the Middle Eastern country March 15, with the Trump administration claiming to have “taken out” multiple leaders of the Iran-backed Houthis.
National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes told The Post that the Signal chain that included Goldberg “appears to be an authentic message chain, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.”
……..The incident drew bipartisan outcry from Capitol Hill, with Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Mark Warner (D-Va.) writing on X: “This administration is playing fast and loose with our nation’s most classified info, and it makes all Americans less safe.”
“Classified information should not be transmitted on unsecured channels — and certainly not to those without security clearances, including reporters. Period,” added Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY). “Safeguards must be put in place to ensure this never happens again.”
Evidently, one of Mike Waltz’ staffers on the phone had Goldberg’s number and it was added to the chat. The staffer should be fired for having Goldberg’s number to begin with.
Goldberg was the one who concocted the fake “suckers and losers” story which was subsequently debunked. He also ran a false story about President Trump disparaging the ethnicity of the sister of a slain Texas Soldier. Goldberg and The Atlantic have a habit of publishing fabricated stories like that because they are consumed with TDS. It’s a cesspool of rancid leftwing bullshit.

The Dems immediately pounced on the “resign!” bandwagon.

And Biden’s gross mishandling of classified documents he wasn’t authorized to have.
Democrat darling Eric Swalwell was having sex with a Communist Chinese spy named Fang Fang.
Not a peep over the Muslim terrorist spy ring who was hired by Debbie Wasserman Schultz. They worked within the IT department for Democrat members of the House Permanent Intelligence Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee. They stole information and copied to an off-site server. They turned it over to the Muslim Brotherhood. Wasserman Schultz never faced consequences.
And Mark Warner (D-VA) forgot about this:
Warner used the Signal app himself to set up contact with Christopher Steele, the author of the fake Russia collusion dossier.

Just a reminder: In January, 2017, the FBI released a document dump that showed Hillary’s emails were accessed by “foreign actors” and that she sent classified emails regarding NATO strategies, Iran, Yemen, Bahrain, and secret intelligence from Hamas, to Oscar Flores, one of Bill Clinton’s aides, so that he can “please print” them for her. Hillary deliberately used an illegal, unsecure server to store and transmit classified information, tampered with evidence, deleted incriminating emails, and lied before Congress. It’s right in front of everyone’s face. She knew that it was a national security violation, but did it anyway. Her malfeasance with regard to classified information cost lives. Thanks to Comey’s corruption, she was never indicted.
IDGAF about their indignation over the Signal call. When the Dems rid their own hypocritical house of their own deliberate national security transgressions, they can bitch and moan over the mistake made by Hegseth’s chat group.
This is just something the DemLeft can chew on until they get distracted by something else that draws their attention from the fact that their party is imploding.
