On Eric Holder and ‘Race Cowards’

The nation’s first BLACK Attorney General pontificates on race relations in America:

Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race, saying most Americans avoid discussing unresolved racial issues.
In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” said Holder, nation’s first black attorney general.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, Holder said, but “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”

……”If we are to make progress in this area, we must feel comfortable enough with one another and tolerant enough of each other to have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us.”

Alright, I’m gonna take Holder up on that concept of “frank conversation”.

I’m sick and tired of the race-baiters in this country. I associate with whom I choose, not what pleases the PC race police. It’s bad enough race pimping blowhards like Al Sharpton pop up every time there’s a slight—real or perceived—in race relations. He’s a buffoon, but the media keeps giving him a soapbox.

I don’t define race as a way of inclusion into the American melting pot. Native-born, legal residents, and newly legalized immigrants who assimilate into our culture, is my measuring stick.

Newsflash: EVERYBODY is prejudiced in some way shape or form. Every ethnic group on the planet does what comes naturally to humans and will gravitate to their own kind over others. That’s nothing to be ashamed of. It is what it is.

What bothers me is when it gets incorporated into a doctrine of violence and stupidity, regardless of the ethnic group.

I’m Irish-Scots-German-Cherokee.  I grew up in a very diverse neighborhood 30 miles west of Cleveland, in a working class family. No one gave us a free meal ticket because we were “white”.  My environment was far from prosperous. My mother raised 7 kids, mostly by herself. We all worked. My two older step sisters worked two part time jobs, and my mother worked to make ends meet.

Serbians, Irish, Italians, Romanians, Germans, Polish, Hungarians, Slovaks, Mexicans, Blacks, Puerto Ricans, Croatians, you name it, they’re here.

And yeah, I’ve been the recipient of ethnic slurs from minorities in my hometown.

As a U.S. Soldier, I served overseas. I visited and was stationed in the ancestral homelands of my own people, as well as others of the aforementioned groups. I’ve been exposed to the food, attitudes, traditions, and customs of many nationalities other than my own.

It has two advantages; First, educational. Secondly, if I don’t like you I know why.

When Jose Mencia (one of the funniest, un-PC comedians ever) uses the words “nigger”, “beaner”, etc, in his comedy routines, not one peep out of the perpetually outraged. The same crowd doesn’t flinch when stereotypical “cracker”, “redneck”, and “white trailer trash” comments get hurled by people like Jeff Foxworthy. Racial and ethnic epithets seem to be tolerated as long as it’s *wink* done in a comedic forum or in a “rap” song.

It’s hard to know where the line is when it keeps getting moved.

As for me, I recognize character, values, principles, honor, integrity, achievement, and patriotism regardless of “race”.  How about giving a lecture on that, Holder?

You prove that asshattery isn’t contained to just one ethnicity.

Asshat.

In 1911, former slave Booker T. Washington wrote about people like Sharpton and Holder:

“There is (a) class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”

There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”

‘Nuff said.

Speaking of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder:

Eric Holder is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

    Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

    Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.

    1. Dear Andrew Yu-Jen Wang (aka Magna Cum Numbnuts),

I live for the opportunity to engage the tinfoil-hat conspiracy loons who visit here from time to time. Between all the rants about “chemtrails”, “Boosh-Hitler”, “hate crimes”, “Bush brought down the towers”, and “Karl Rove is the anti-Christ”, it’s hard to choose which batshit crazy accusaton to ridicule first.

In your sick little mind, George W. Bush is responsible for everything from AIDS to your erectile dysfunction.

First of all, Holder is a fraud – a Clintonista who helped pardon a convicted felon (Marc Rich) who fled the country to avoid prison. Not only was Rich guilty of tax evasion, but he also made illegal oil deals with Iran while American hostages were being held and abused by Mahmoud Amahdinejad and his buddies in Tehran in 1979. Oh yeah, and Holder is a race-baiting slimeball.

Your list of leftwingnut anti-Bush ‘criminal grievances’ would be funny if it weren’t so fucking pathetic…..and just plain horseshit.

“And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.”

Oooooooo, what ominous secrecy. YOU and ONLY YOU know the awful truth surrounding the “hate crimes” committed by George W. Bush.
Y’know, “Almighty God” probably thinks you’re about 4 cans short of a 6 pack.

      “Bush was absolute evil.”

And he’s the boogeyman in your bedroom closet, too.

“Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.”

Uh, no. He’s living quite comfortably in Crawford, Texas at his ranch.

      “Bush is a psychological prisoner.”

You really think he’s bothered by those telepathic dirty looks you give the picture you have of him in your bedroom in mommy’s basement?

“Bush has a lot to worry about.”

Like the Revenge of Yu-Jen Wang? Sounds like a cheesy 70’s Kung Fu movie, doesn’t it?

      There. Fixed.

Here’s a quote you won’t find in your High School yearbook:

“Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.”—Dean Wormer to Flounder in Animal House.

Personally, I’d add “liberal” to that quote.
