Bombshell—Pentagon Buries the Truth—Newly Revealed Document Vindicates Army Lt. Colonel Matthew Dooley In Anti-Islam Controversy: (13 December 2012)
In December 2011, the National Defense University’s Deputy VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Brenda Roth, officially confirmed in writing to the Pentagon that all course materials at the National Defense University were vetted and approved by the University and its military command. This official confirmation covered the content and outside guest speakers used in its course entitled Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism.
Nevertheless, four months later General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, disregarding Dr. Roth’s official report, publicly excoriated and fired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Matthew Dooley, an instructor involved with the course, on grounds that the course was offensive to Islam and unprofessional; he also ordered LTC Dooley’s career–ending negative Officer Evaluation Report.
UPDATE: LTC Dooley has been suspended from the course.
The Dhimmification of the United States military continues.
The Pentagon is to look into a military training class on Islamist radicalism which was reported to promote “inflammatory” ideas. One is that the US is at war with Islam.
An assertion that “the United States is at war with Islam and we ought to just recognize that” was presented at a course for mid-rank officers at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. The “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” course, on the curriculum since 2008, was among the electives on conducting operations with fellow services.
A former student complained of the course’s content back in March, causing it to be suspended on Tuesday. An inquiry will now determine how the material got onto the course, while the red-faced Pentagon was forced to deny that it is a sample of US general war ideology.
That’s not at all what we believe to be the case. We are at war with terrorism, specifically al-Qaeda, who has a warped view of the Islamic faith. We don’t consider us at war with Islam,” said Pentagon spokesman Captain John Kirby.
Hundreds of officers have enrolled in the class on Islamic radicalism since it was first offered four years ago and then reviewed in 2011. What the Pentagon now wants to know is how long the objectionable notions have been on the course for lieutenant colonels.
Our concern is that there are some unprofessional things being taught to students in a professional military educational curriculum,” Kirby said on Wednesday.
A force-wide review of all training materials to “scrub” has now been ordered by Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The aim is to remove any anti-Islamic elements.
The course was taught by Army LTC Matthew A. Dooley, who made the hierarchy wet their pants by telling the truth about Islam and what can and should be done to rid the planet of the scourge. His presentation was titled: “A Counter-Jihad Op Design Model, and he did not mince words:
Political correctness is killing us. How can we properly identify the enemy, analyze his weaknesses, and defeat him, if we are NEVER permitted to examine him from the most basic doctrinal level?
He pointed out that Islam is more of an ideology than a “religion”, and our “oath as professional Soldiers forces us to choose sides; the 1st Amendment offers no protection to anyone actively working to impose a system of laws that subverts our Constitution.”
That system is Islamic Sharia.
LTC Dooley’s approach is right on the money:
This model calls for direct ideological and philosophical confrontation with Islam…this model asserts Islam has already declared war on the West, and the United States specifically, as is demonstrable with over 30 years of violent history. It is, therefore, illogical to continue along our current global strategy models that presume there are always possible options for common ground and détente with the Muslim Umma without waging near “total war”.
A culture of rabid muslims, fueled by the screed of a 7th century Islamic wackjob, declared war on us. They declared war on Jews, Christians, Pagans, Wiccans, atheists, agnostics, and every other belief/non belief unassociated with Islam. Their prophet declared war on Western civilization in 692AD, and they’ve been engaged in that war ever since.
They want all of us dead or subjugated to a new world Caliphate. General Dempsey and the rest of the gutless wonders in the E-ring, are more concerned with the sensitivities of the enemy than killing them.
This is the same Pentagon that has a habit of hiring muslim jihadists and harassing those who confront that bat-shit crazy policy. Just ask Major Stephen Coughlin.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff are some of the worst chickenshits I’ve ever seen. They fail to understand that there’s actually a war going on, which is pretty fucked up given that they’re supposed to be managing our end of it. We’re up against a brutal enemy that enjoys the lavish attention bestowed on them by a kowtowing DOD. We need real military leaders at the top, not craven politicians. Patton and MacArthur are spinning in their graves. While Dempsey is busy scrubbing the military of all vestiges of common sense and warrior ethos, the Islamic-inspired enemy is killing us.
I’m with LTC Dooley. It sure beats the current “strategy”:
