Shamesty Bill in “File 13”

Immigration bill quashed

The on-again-off-again immigration bill took a fatal blow yesterday as a majority of senators voted to block it, responding to millions of e-mails, phone calls and faxes from voters furious over a measure they saw as amnesty.

The vote to block the bill was 53-46 — a crushing defeat given that supporters fell 14 votes shy of the 60 needed to limit debate and set an up-or-down vote. It also represents a major loss of support from just two days earlier, when 64 senators had voted to resurrect the bill from its first defeat three weeks ago.

“The message is crystal clear that the American people want us to start with enforcement, both at the border and at the workplace, and don’t want promises,” said Sen. David Vitter, Louisiana Republican. “They want action, they want results, they want proof because they’ve heard all the promises before.”

It was a devastating defeat for President Bush, who invested a tremendous amount of political capital into immigration reform.

Despite teaming with Democrats, attacking some of his own staunchest supporters, deploying two Cabinet secretaries and much of his top policy hierarchy nearly full time to the Capitol and making calls himself, Mr. Bush was unable to secure victory and is now left without a major domestic accomplishment for his second term.

“A lot of us worked hard to see if we couldn’t find a common ground. It didn’t work,” Mr. Bush said.

….The bill was always hanging in precarious balance, written in backroom negotiations by a small group of Democrats and Republicans with the help of the Bush administration. It involved a trade — the Republicans agreed to a path to citizenship for the estimated 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the country, and the Democrats agreed to a temporary-worker program for future workers and to rewrite the immigration system to favor those with needed skills or education.

Well, let’s see…the majority of the American people are fed up with fact that the existing laws, Title 8 of the U.S. Code in particular, aren’t being enforced.  We are sick of the rapists, pedophiles, thieves, murderers, and MS-13s, not to mention the terrorist cells traipsing across the southern U.S. border at will.  We are tired of Mexican officials dumping their human garbage into our country, and the lawmakers wonder why in the hell this proposed bill was so vehemently opposed. We should not have to foot the bill over the fraud, stolen entitlements, job loss, and syphoning off the health care system perpetrated by illegal aliens and their cohorts.

Mr President, Congress and Senate: What is needed is a WALL with manned towers, sub-machine guns, trenches, land mines, and thousands of border agents.  We are experiencing an invasion, not immigration.  Enough. Give them a “path” right back to their south-of-the-border country of origin.

  1. To “American Healthcare Fraud”,
Health care is just one of the undeserved benifits obtained by illegals. The defeat of the latest illegal immigration bill is by no means a panacea. The problem of healthcare fraud by these felons and those who abet them is widespread. Not only has it resulted in the outrageous bilking of taxpayers, but many hospitals, especially in California and Arizona, have had to close their doors.

This is an excerpt from an excellent article written by Dr. Daneen G. Peterson PhD, who taught behavioral science research methodology and statistics at the Temple and Jefferson Universities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:

Uninsured Does NOT Mean Lack of Medical Care:
“Between 1998 and 2003, immigrants represented 86% of the growth in the number of people lacking insurance. At least a quarter of all immigrants are estimated to be undocumented [illegal aliens] with the largest group coming form Mexico.”(35) Gee, isn’t that surprising?
Why is there such a high percentage of immigrants lacking insurance? Because under the Emergency Medical Treatment Act and Active Labor Act [EMTALA] of 1985, hospitals are required to treat the uninsured without reimbursement! And the Hispanic underground word-of-mouth knows their ‘rights!’ “What is unseen is [that] their [illegal aliens] free medical care has degraded and closed some of America’s finest emergency medical facilities, and caused hospital bankruptcies: 84 California hospitals [have, or] are closing their doors.” In the ten years between 1993 and 2003, SIXTY California hospitals have already closed and another twenty-four are on the verge of closure.

To add ‘insult to injury’ our government imposes viciously stiff fines and penalties on any physician and any hospital refusing to treat any patient that a zealous prosecutor deems an emergency patient, even though the hospital or physician screened and declared the patient’s illness or injury non-emergency. But government pays neither hospital nor physician for treatments. In addition to the fiscal attack on medical facilities and personnel, EMTALA is a handy truncheon with which to pummel politically unpopular physicians by falsely accusing them of violating EMTALA.”

As you can see, between the illegal-supporting socialist organizations and OUR OWN government, the problem has reached epidemic proportions. There is hope, however. The voices of millions of angry, fed up, American citizens are making an impact. We are tired of the criminal filth coming across our borders. We are writing letters, and e-mails, and calling their offices to let them know. Politicians can no longer hide from constituents, and employers of illegals are feeling the heat. It will be a long time before this distaster is fixed, but at least it’s a start.

  2. American Healthcare Fraud

If you think this has ended the HEALTCARE FRAUD in America, think again. HealthSouth is connected to HCA….

Has HCA paid their settlement with the government, (the largest settlement in our history) for the exposure of just a small fraction of what they have STOLEN from the healthcare system that they created? Just look up Richard Scott & Thomas Frist’s “VISION” for the American Healthcare System.

  3. This is to the illegals currently in this country.
You have now seen the what the American people want. We want border security, we want employers to answer to their breaking of our immigration laws. We want the innocent and guilty illegals to stop taking money out of our pockets by taking welfare, jobs, health care through our hospitals, stolen identities and WORSE our social security.
We are just beginning to DEMAND that our present laws be enforced. So gather your loved ones, your friends and prepare yourselves to live in a country that DOES NOT CARE. We want our country back not given to you. We the people will do everything we possibly can to NEVER giver you Amnesty.
