The Clinton Foundation Made Millions From Foreign Donors While Hillary was Secretary of State

foreign donors to clinton foundation

From Fox News.

The Clinton Foundation was on the defensive Wednesday after disclosing that it had accepted millions of dollars from several foreign governments while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, including one donation that violated the foundation’s ethics agreement with the Obama administration.

Most of the contributions — which had not previously been detailed by the foundation — were possible due to exceptions written into the organization’s 2008 agreement with the White House that limited donations from foreign governments, according to The Washington Post, which first reported the contributions.

But foundation officials acknowledged that they should have sought approval from the State Department’s ethics office in one instance. In a statement to Fox News, the foundation said it had received an unsolicited donation of $500,000 to its Haiti earthquake relief fund from the Algerian government in 2010.

“As the Clinton Foundation did with all donations it received for earthquake relief, the entire amount of Algeria’s contribution was distributed as aid in Haiti,” the foundation’s statement read, in part. “This donation was disclosed publicly on our website, however, the State Department should have also been formally informed. This was a one-time, specific donation to help Haiti and Algeria had not donated to the Clinton Foundation before and has not since.”

I’m betting that some of that money lined the coffers of the foundation.

The statement did not make clear when foundation officials found out that the donation violated the ethics agreement or why the foundation did not alert the State Department at the time.

At the time of the contribution, Algeria, which has sought a closer relationship with Washington, was spending heavily to lobby the State Department on human rights issues.

The revelation that foreign countries with interests before the U.S. government were allowed to donate millions of dollars to the foundation could raise questions about Clinton’s impartiality while serving as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. Earlier disclosures made on the foundation’s website have revealed an increase in donations by foreign governments since Clinton left the State Department in 2013.

When Hillary and Bubba left the White House in 2001, she claimed they were dead broke. Not long afterward, they created the foundation, which has proven to be quite a cash cow.

More:

According to The Wall Street Journal, which cited the foundation’s online database, recent donors to the foundation include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Oman, Australia, Germany, and a Canadian government agency promoting construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.

……Another donation that could raise eyebrows comes from the Qatari government committee preparing to host the 2022 soccer World Cup, which gave between $250,000 and $500,000 last year. Human rights groups have claimed that over 1,000 migrant workers have died in the process of constructing the infrastructure to host the tournament.

In all, a tally by the Journal has found that the number of foreign donors doubled in 2014 from the previous year. The UAE donated between $1 million and $5 million last year, while the German government gave between $100,000 and $250,000. Repeat donors include Saudi Arabia, which has contributed at least $10 million since the foundation’s founding in 1999, and Australia, which has given at least $5 million.

Those aren’t ‘donations’ they’re bribes.

They also received $81 million from a Swiss bank under investigation for being used by the super rich as a tax dodge. Both Hillary and Bubba have amassed a fortune in the range of $100 million to $200 million, mainly from corporate speechmaking.
Hillary isn’t alone; many Dems have a habit of financing their campaigns and personal interests with foreign cash.

Obama helped Filthy Harry Reid expedite visas for Asian investors for a politically connected Las Vegas casino hotel.  These transactions benefited several companies whose executives have donated heavily to Democrats.  Reminds me of Clinton’s Chinagate. As a mater of fact, Reid accepted donations from key Clinton Chinagate fundraiser John Huang – and later pushed for Senate confirmation of the judge who let Huang off with a slap on the wrist.

In 2008, the Obama campaign received highly questionable and in some cases, illegal donations from foreign entities. $500,000 came into the campaign via “not employed” people and  $33,000 from Palestinians in Gaza. His collaboration with terrorists goes back a ways.

Thousands more dollars were filtered in through dozens of countries by donors with faked and unidentified names and non-existent banks.

In 2010, the Dems raised more than $1 million from political action committees affiliated with foreign companies.

Between Bubba and Hillary, they have quite a history of crimes and corruption.  So far, neither has been held accountable.  I don’t expect much repercussions from this latest scandal, either. If she were a Republican…well, you know the rest.
