The grass isn’t greener, eh?
It’s not nice to laugh at people in distress, but when it is people who are so dumb, it’s hard to not point and chuckle.

Oh, so Canada can have rules for non-citizens working in their country and they can decide to not give government benefits to non-citizens, but when America does that, it’s a problem. Good to know.
People think they should be able to sneak into America illegally and work and if the US doesn’t let them do it, it’s racist and xenophobic.
The only downside to America is people like this who don’t appreciate it and who defame the country. If they want to leave, good riddance to bad rubbish.
Bill Glahn at Powerline Blog:
A confusing headline from the U.K. Daily Mail,
“‘Scholar of the far right’ complains that move from US to Canada to flee Trump has backfired horribly.”
Fleeing Trump’s dystopian America, she decamped to the north with the intent of resettling in Vancouver, B.C.
Then the problems began, The Daily Mail reports,
“Nope Brigade is an academic researcher who studies conservative and right-wing ideologies, and recently ‘fled’ from the current Trump administration to Vancouver – one of the world’s priciest cities.”
I looked her up, and assuming this is really her, she asserts,
“I study the far right as a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology with a focus on Christian nationalism. My main areas of focus are rural social movements, militias, and how religion intersects with politics. I also love telling people about important sociological concepts. Overall, my goal is to inform, liberate and inspire activism.”
Our refugee found the situation less than welcoming north of the border,
“For those who don’t know, the housing crisis here is way worse than the US. I lived in LA for six years and I have not faced rent as bad as here.”
It would get worse,
“Especially when you are shut out of the healthcare system and can’t access any of the resources that Canadians have access to.
And that’s understandable, I’m not a citizen of the country, but it is making the financial situation dire.”
The Daily Mail notes,
“Most visitor visas allow stays of up to six months, and work permits are only granted to those with a temporary resident permit valid for six months or longer, according to the Government of Canada.”
The real story that the Daily Mail appears to be missing here is that they’ve discovered a western country that dares to enforce its immigration laws.
Ironically, in America, every immigrant (legal or otherwise) has full access to our healthcare system, often at no cost.
As for Ms. Brigade, as a Ph.D. candidate, she should have some familiarity with how to work the Google machine and should have discovered these facts before trekking north.
Apparently, Canada is poorer than the state of Alabama.
A TDS afflicted lib fled to Costa Rica and wants to come home because it sucks to live in a third world country,
Ellen DeGeneres came crawling back to America because the estate she bought in England wasn’t satisfactory.
Rosie O’Donnell left the country for Ireland after Trump’s election, but just came sneaking back in ‘to see if it was safe’ after President Trump threatened to revoke her citizenship following her move to Ireland last year. Hey Rosie, go back to Ireland and STAY there.
President Trump’s massive success in his second term has the Left in grand mal seizures. Every leftwingnut who flees the U.S. because President Trump puts America first should stay wherever they fled. I hope they leave en masse.
