Trump Pulls Plug on Iran Talks as US Seizes Iran Ships, Strengthens Blockade:
President Donald Trump cancelled negotiations with Iran at the last minute on Saturday.
U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — Trump’s son-in-law who played a key role in various historic diplomatic measures such as the Abraham Accords and the Hamas-Israel hostage negotiations — were set to travel to Islamabad, Pakistan, over the weekend for a second round of talks with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Trump then told Fox News he had canceled the trip, telling his representatives that “you’re not going to be making any more 18 hour flights to sit around talking about nothing.”
“I’ve told my people a little while ago they were getting ready to leave, and I said, ‘Nope, you’re not making an 18 hour flight to go there. We have all the cards. They can call us anytime they want,’” Trump said.
It was reported earlier that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, after briefly meeting with the host country’s prime minister, had already departed Islamabad.
Trump’s analysis of the situation was certainly correct — the U.S. holds many, if not all, of the cards in the conflict with Iran.
The Islamic theocracy’s economy is faltering amid the U.S. chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier Saturday, U.S. Central Command showed off its dominance in the region with a photo of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group patrolling the Indian Ocean.
Earlier this week, the U.S. had intercepted two Iranian dark fleet ships attempting to transfer Iranian oil.
“Both ships, the Tifani, the Majestic X, and their crews remain in U.S. custody, and we will continue to conduct similar maritime interdiction actions and activities in the Pacific and Indian Oceans against Iranian ships and vessels of the dark fleet,” Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Air Force Gen. Dan Caine remarked, per Fox News.

The Iranian military claimed on Saturday morning that it had closed the Strait of Hormuz after the United States refused to lift its naval blockade preventing Iran’s ships from passing through the waterway.
……The American naval blockade imposed on Iranian-linked ships has placed considerable pressure on the Islamist regime, with reports emerging that Iran would only have around two weeks before having to start permanently shutting down crude oil production because it was running out of space to store the raw fuel.
“Once the tanks are filled, Iran would have to shut down its oil fields, which risks long-term damage to the fields,” Annika Ganzeveld of the American Enterprise Institute told the New York Post this week.
In addition to refusing to lift the blockade, the U.S. administration has also rejected the notion of unfreezing billions in seized Iranian funds in exchange for its uranium and said that there would be no timeframe in which Tehran could restart its nuclear program under any deal with Washington.
The problem with that is Iran immediately turned back oil tankers that tried to pass through the strait, after the announcement that it was cleared. Trump is not fucking around. The blockade will remain until Iran has no choice but to give up. Time to flatten Tehran.

President Donald Trump announced a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz Sunday morning, hours after Vice President JD Vance announced talks with Iran had stalled after 21 hours.
Iran announced the maritime chokepoint was open to vessels that met certain conditions, including paying a toll in Chinese yuan or cryptocurrency.
Trump said that any ship paying the toll would be halted by the United States Navy.
“Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
President Trump is not fucking around. He made it clear that the Iranian shitbags will not go on impeding the shipment of oil through an international waterway.
