Bowe Bergdhal, who deserted his unit in Afghanistan and schmoozed with the Taliban, is apparently too much for Simon-Schuster to handle because gawd knows it might prove what a shithead Obama really is.

According to reports this week, a half dozen Soldiers who have firsthand knowledge of the events surrounding Bowe Bergdahl’s 2009 disappearance from his platoon in Afghanistan are prepared to reveal all the details of that controversial event.
The Soldiers who served with the Army sergeant say they are confident that he left on his own accord.
……The Daily Mail indicates that six platoon mates want to share their perspective, including the allegation that Bergdahl was a deserter who put his fellow Soldiers in harm’s way upon voluntarily leaving the base.
The proposed content would also include Bergdahl’s perception as a “loner” as well as the ill-fated search-and-rescue mission launched shortly after his disappearance.
……As for why they feel it is necessary to share their story, Bergdahl’s former roommate Cody Full explained that they just want to counter a narrative that has been advanced by the Obama administration and other outsiders since he returned to the U.S.“We didn’t politicize this,” he said. “They brought his parents out at a White House Rose Garden ceremony and presented him as a hero.”
Evan Buetow, an outspoken Bergdahl critic who served as his team leader, concurred.
“There was no way we were going to sit down and be quiet while Obama was calling him a war hero,” he noted. “We’re just trying to tell the truth. It’s not my fault this would make Obama look bad.”
Bad publicity is not welcome among Obama’s turd polishers in the media:
“I’m not sure we can publish this book without the Right using it to their ends,” Sarah Durand, a senior editor at Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, wrote in an email to one of the Soldiers’ agents.
“[T]he Conservatives are all over Bergdahl and using it against Obama,” Durand wrote, “and my concern is that this book will have to become a kind of ‘Swift Boat Veterans for Truth’” — a reference to the group behind a controversial book that raised questions about John Kerry’s Vietnam War record in the midst of his 2004 presidential campaign. (Durand did not respond to requests for comment. “We do not comment about our editorial process,” said Paul Olsewski, vice president and director of publicity at Atria.)
Except that Obama can’t run for office again, and Kerry deserved every bit of ‘Swift boating’ he got.
The five shitbags that Obama released from GITMO in exchange for Bergdahl, are some of the worst cutthroats the Taliban has to offer. Obama’s long list of crimes and assorted fuckups are a matter of public record, whether Sarah Durand likes it or not. Soldiers who confirm that fact that Bergdahl is a coward, a deserter, and a traitor, would make Obama look bad, and we can’t have that.
Look for the book to be published anyway, from a company that isn’t an Obama bootlicker.
