These people are legitimate refugees. White South Africans are being systematically slaughtered by the ANC regime. They’re farmers. They went through the proper immigration procedures. They’re not looking for handouts and welfare. They’re actually here to assimilate.
The Trump administration on Monday welcomed a group of 59 white South Africans as refugees, saying they face discrimination and violence at home, which the country’s government strongly denies.
The decision to admit the Afrikaners also has raised questions from refugee advocates about why they were admitted when the Trump administration has suspended efforts to resettle people fleeing war and persecution who have gone through years of vetting.
Many in the group from South Africa – including toddlers and other small children, even one walking barefoot in pajamas – held small American flags as two officials welcomed them to the United States in an airport hangar outside Washington. The South Africans were then leaving on other flights to various U.S. destinations.
A group of 49 Afrikaners had been expected, but the State Department said Monday that 59 had arrived.
“I want you all to know that you are really welcome here and that we respect what you have had to deal with these last few years,” Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said.
President Donald Trump told reporters earlier Monday that he´s admitting them as refugees because of the “genocide that´s taking place.” He said that in post-apartheid South Africa, white farmers are “being killed” and he plans to address the issue with South African leadership next week.
The first batch of white South Africans granted refugee status in the US after President Donald Trump deemed them victims of racial discrimination are set to land in Virginia today.
The (59) Afrikaners – a white minority group in South Africa – will be relocated across the US after the White House fast-tracked their applications.
They boarded a flight from Johannesburg yesterday which is due to touch down at Washington Dulles airport later today. They will participate in a press conference before boarding flights to different cities across the US.
Collen Msibi, a spokesperson for South Africa’s transport ministry, said the 49 refugees would have to be vetted by police to ensure there were no criminal cases or outstanding warrants against them before being allowed to leave.
In February Trump issued an executive order accusing South Africa’s government of seizing land from white farmers without any compensation, an allegation denied by Cape Town.
When Trump was asked about the South Africans arrival, he said: ‘It’s a genocide that’s taking place, and you people don’t want to write about it.
‘It’s a terrible thing that’s taking place, and the farmers are being killed; they happen to be white. Whether they are white or Black makes no difference to me, but white farmers are being brutally killed, and their land is being confiscated in South Africa.
……..The flight will be the first in a ‘much larger-scale relocation effort’, according to White House deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller.
He added that what was happening to Afrikaners in South Africa ‘fits the textbook definition of why the refugee program was created’, adding: ‘This is persecution based on a protected characteristic – in this case, race. This is race-based persecution.’
Liberals are all about immigrants as long as they’re third world illegals and muslim terrorists from countries they support. White people fleeing oppression, not so much.
Exactly.
Biden allowed 8.3 million illegals to invade America during his regime. But allowing 49 vetted South African refugees into the country causes seizures.
