It’s about fucking time.
President Donald Trump’s administration has made good on its pledge to label three Middle Eastern branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, imposing sanctions on them and their members in a decision that could have implications for U.S. relationships with allies in the region.
The Treasury and State departments announced the actions Tuesday against the Lebanese, Jordanian and Egyptian chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood, which they said pose a risk to the United States and American interests.
The State Department designated the Lebanese branch a foreign terrorist organization, the most severe of the labels, which makes it a criminal offense to provide material support to the group. The Jordanian and Egyptian branches were listed by Treasury as specially designated global terrorists for providing support to Hamas.
“These designations reflect the opening actions of an ongoing, sustained effort to thwart Muslim Brotherhood chapters’ violence and destabilization wherever it occurs,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement. “The United States will use all available tools to deprive these Muslim Brotherhood chapters of the resources to engage in or support terrorism.”
Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent were mandated last year under an executive order signed by Trump to determine the most appropriate way to impose sanctions on the groups, which U.S. officials say engage in or support violence and destabilization campaigns that harm the United States and other regions.
“The Muslim Brotherhood has inspired, nurtured, and funded terrorist groups like Hamas, that are direct threats to the safety and security of the American people and our allies,” John Hurley, Treasury undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, said in a statement.
Trump’s executive order had singled out the chapters in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt, noting that a wing of the Lebanese chapter had launched rockets on Israel after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack in Israel that set off the war in Gaza. Leaders of the group in Jordan have provided support to Hamas, the order said.
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 but was banned in that country in 2013. Jordan announced a sweeping ban on the Muslim Brotherhood in April.
……Two Republican-led state governments – Florida and Texas – designated the group as a terrorist organization this year.
Background on the Muslim Brotherhood:
The terrorist group was founded in 1928 by the Egyptian schoolteacher/activist Hasan al-Banna (a devout admirer of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis), the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) — a Sunni entity — is one of the oldest, largest and most influential Islamist organizations in the world. While Egypt historically has been the center of the Brotherhood’s operations, the group today is active in more than 70 countries (some estimates range as high as 100+). Islam expert Robert Spencer has called MB “the parent organization of Hamas and al Qaeda.” The Muslim Brotherhood has even formed its own U.S.-based political party.
In case anyone doubts the goal of the Muslim Brotherhood, this is their motto:
“Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!”
They’re not the only ones.
CAIR is a terrorist facilitating group that supports violence in the name of its religious ideology. CAIR was founded in 1994 by three leaders of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP) — Nihad Awad, Omar Ahmad, and Rafeeq Jaber, and funded by the Holy Land Foundation for Relief, a designated terrorist organization. Mousa Abu Marzook, the current deputy political chief of Hamas, served on the board of directors. They fund Hamas and their parent organization is the Muslim Brotherhood. Their function as a terrorist operative is well documented. They didn’t have to disclose their donors.
The Arab American Action Network, also facilitators of Islamic terrorism, operate freely in the United States. They have no damned business being in this country.
Places like Dearborn, Michigan, Hamtramck, Michigan, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, have turned into radical muzzie enclaves.
What a refreshing change from B. Hussein Obama’s regime, which pandered to them , invited them to the White House, and hosted them at the State Department.
Islam is diametrically opposed to every Constitutional principle on which this country was founded. Under the muzzie point of view, Sharia law trumps all other laws. It’s meant to overtake and replace all Western civil, criminal, and government jurisdiction. The founding principles of this country did not hinge on a violent ideological theocracy that advocated the deaths of those who didn’t hold the same religious beliefs. Letting them thrive here is suicidal.
