From extending and deepening the war in Afghanistan, to suppressing evidence of rampant and widespread abuse and torture of prisoners under Bush, to thuggishly threatening the British with intelligence cut-off if they reveal the brutal torture inflicted on Binyam Mohamed, Obama now has new cheer-leaders: Bill Kristol, Michael Goldfarb and Max Boot.

Incredibly, Obama is now being vilified by his grief-stricken devotees for not being leftwing enough.
During the campaign, THE ONE promised to strike actionable targets in Pakistan, (http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN013220642007080/) and talked equally as tough on Afghanistan, (http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/20/obama.afghanistan/) saying that ‘the war in Iraq had become a distraction to the battles in Afghanistan’ and “We took our eye off the ball.”

Wasn’t Sullivan paying attention? The Left kept pissing and moaning about Iraq being ‘the wrong war’ and we should go after Bin Laden in Afghanistan, although by then he had already fled into Pakistan.
The DemLeft was never serious about any part of the war on Islamic terrorism; they just figured it would be a matter of time before B. Hussein would renege on all that.
