Dems have a habit of race-baiting and flinging epithets at American patriots whenever their socialist ideas are confronted. I’m sure Democratic voters are proud of the boorish jackasses they elected to represent their Party.

This afternoon, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) gave a speech in which he quoted Richard Hofstadter’s 1964 essay, “The Paranoid Style in American Politics” and accused ObamaCare opponents of inciting “vindictive passions”:
“Far from appealing to the better angels of our nature, too many colleagues are embarked on a desperate no-holds-barred mission of propaganda, obstruction and fear. History cautions us of the excesses to which these malignant, vindictive passions can ultimately lead. Tumbrils have rolled through taunting crowds, broken glass has sparkled in darkened streets. Strange fruit has hung from Southern trees. Even this great institution of government that we share has cowered before a tail-gunner waving secret lists.” (Emphasis added.)
A full text of Sen. Whitehouse’s remarks is not yet available, but at this moment, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) is rebutting the Democrat’s accusations. And, by the way, that Senate tail-gunner was right about one thing: There were indeed Soviet agents in the State Department.More from the Whitehouse speech, referring to Hofstadter’s “paranoid style” thesis:

Note to Sheldon Whitehouse: Obama is a Marxist working in collaboration with like-minded Democrats. The destructive precedent was started on 20 January 2008.
I’m a Libertarian-leaning Republican. The only “militia” I belonged to for 30 years was the United States Army. The only special interests I have are the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and free market enterprise; all of which are under assault by the Obama regime.
I’m desperate to save my own country from an idiot like Obama and his batshit-crazy Democratic colleagues.
Given Obama’s destructive, anti-American, anti-U.S. Constitution policies, you’re damned right I want to break his ‘momentum’. That goes for the ‘momentum’ of mealy-mouthed assclowns like Sheldon Whitehouse.
We understand the whole “nazi” reflex on the part of the Dems, especially since their jack-booted tactics are eerily similar. We’re just not too thrilled about a rotten socialist piece of shit mandate which orders immediate taxation on everything the government can get its hands on, but won’t allow “benefits” to kick in until 2014.
There’s a reason why the majority, 56% of the American people, strongly oppose any government control of healthcare.
We want to keep our freedom of choice; we’ve seen the results of government takeovers.
