A crazed former US Army Soldier and National Guardsman set off fireworks and lit a fire outside a Manhattan federal building Monday in an apparent anti-ICE terror attack, officials said.
Andrew Arrabaca, 43, a veteran from Poughkeepsie, “came armed with bad intention” to 26 Federal Plaza, where he fired five to seven pellets from an airsoft rifle at the building before lighting fireworks and sparking a blaze at around 8:30 a.m., the feds said.
“He is an anti-American, anti-government extremist,” James Barnacle, assistant director in charge of the FBI New York Field Office, told reporters at an afternoon press briefing.
Arrabaca allegedly had various weapons, including “two axes, a hammer, a machete and three fixed-blade knives,” as well as six other incendiary devices, Barnacle said.
Wild video showed the raving suspect hurling fireworks into raging flames right outside of the downtown building’s front entrance, with one exploding loudly as a security officer — and then police — tackled him to the ground.
A suspect, described by police as a known anti-ICE activist carrying a ‘ICE OFF OUR STREETS’ sign, was quickly detained by ICE and FPS officers. Two to four people received minor injuries, including one agent, in the brief incident that led to an evacuation and swift response from NYPD bomb squad and FDNY.
The punk was caught and arrested.

An incendiary device was used to target a federal building early Monday morning in New York City.
The incident happened around 26 Federal Plaza, a large building that houses the local FBI and ICE offices, according to CBS News.
Videos posted on social media showed fire and smoke:
“Moment of EXPLOSION that went off outside of the 26 Federal Plaza in NYC around 8:30am this morning, with Immigration agents and FBI Rushing out guns drawn and FPS apprehending the suspect. Sidewalk has been shut down and building evacuated.”
“NYPD on scene confirmed it was a shooting and explosive device, suspect is apprehended.”
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin received a statement from the FBI confirming the building had been targeted.
The agency said, “This morning an individual deployed an incendiary device outside of 26 Federal Plaza. The individual has been taken into custody and the FBI New York Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating the incident.”
The perp is either a muzzie, commie/Antifa, or an illegal. Take your pick.
