Clarence Burgess Owens is a retired safety who played ten seasons in the National Football League for the New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders.
Kudos top Mr. Owens for speaking the truth. In a world where skin color is politicized for the Dem agenda, it’s refreshing to hear a prominent person in the black community speak out against the idiocy of victimology.
LBJ enacted “reparations” in 1964 with the epic “Great Society” debacle. Since then, the federal government has thrown trillions of dollars at poverty programs resulting in a gigantic waste of taxpayer money. Democrats have fed, clothed and housed their slaves for decades. That’s how they keep them as a voting bloc on the Dem plantation. They’ve had over 50 years of “reparations”. To date, over $22 trillion has been spent on the ‘war on poverty’. It’s been a complete flop.
There are underlying issues for the crime and poverty in black communities, all of which have been fueled by a political agenda designed to keep them on the Dem plantation.
“You’re always going to be like this (we’ll see to it) but we’ll help you”.
DEMagogues nurture the conditions and the social conduct that spawns the riots and other violence predominant in black neighborhoods. They do this by feeding the maws of class warfare.
Don’t think for one minute that the DemLeft minds keeping the poor and minorities in their place. It gives them a demographic to exploit while mouthing platitudes about evil rich (white) corporate owners versus the workers. The myth of the Left being for the working class and minorities has been wrung for all it’s worth. It’s part and parcel of a party that uses them as a commodity; a monolithic easily manipulated voting bloc that is all too willing to participate.
The Democrats have controlled America’s major urban areas for almost half a century. It’s a symbiotic relationship; they maintain power through the victimization of minorities. The entitlement culture will always expect a hand out, and the Dems will always be there to give it to them. Your color entitles you to special treatment. You’re downtrodden because the evil white folks made you ‘needy’. The bigotry of low expectations; it’s so much easier than personal accountability.
My ancestors didn’t own slaves. They had to work and scrape for a living. I want reparations.
