I’m a Cleveland Brown’s fan, so I’m jaded to begin with. If there’s a way for a Cleveland sports team to yank defeat from the jaws of victory, they will certainly do it. The Cavaliers championship was a rare exception. The Indians were up 3 games to 1 in this series, and in true fashion, they allowed the Chicago Cubs to overtake them and eventually win game 7. The last time they won a World Series, it only cost $6.95 for a stadium seat. That was in 1948. In 1954, 1995, and 1997, they returned to the World Series, only to lose each time.
The Cleveland mantra: Well, there’s always next year.
