Florida GOP Congressman Allen West this afternoon dispatched a scathing personal email to Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, calling her “vile, unprofessional , and despicable,” “a coward,” “characterless,” and “not a Lady,” and demanding that she “shut the heck up.”
Wasserman Schultz, in whose neighboring South Florida district West lives, provoked his tirade with remarks after he left the House floor today, in which she responded — without naming him — to the Tea Party freshman’s support for “Cut, Cap, and Balance” legislation to raise the debt ceiling.
“The gentleman from Florida. who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries, unbelievable from a Member from South Florida,” Wasserman Schultz said, saying the legislation “slashes Medicaid and critical investments essential to winning the future in favor of protecting tax breaks for Big Oil, millionaires, and companies who ship American jobs overseas.”
Her criticism of the legislation — more or less what most Democrats are saying today — provoked a furious response. West copied members of House Republican and Democratic leadership on the email, as well as his chief-of-staff, Jonathan Blyth.

Congressman Allen West (LTC, U.S. Army RET) is a tough, no nonsense guy whose unwavering courage saved the lives of his Soldiers. The PC chickenshits in the Army hierarchy wanted to courts-martial him, unsuccessfully.

When it comes to “civility” the Left poisoned that well a while ago. Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann and other GOP women get all kinds of vulgar tripe leveled at them for being fiscally conservative and patriotic.
I hope Allen West takes the opportunity to slam Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Hoyer, Stark, Jackson-Lee, Rangel, Kucinich, Moran, gawd the list is endless.
To paraphrase a quote I once read: I don’t like being the first person to the gutter, but I have less of a problem with being the second.
As far as I’m concerned, the Dems really started getting dirty and mealy-mouthed right after the 2000 election and it’s only gotten worse. We cannot just sit back on our heels and take it. Their behavior is a matter of public record and it’s not enough to act as if it doesn’t matter. There’s too many morons out there who continue to vote these assclowns back into office.
When I read articles that describe how stupid Obama and his Dem comrades think Americans are, I begin to wonder if that’s true, but not for the same reasons he thinks.
It’s time to take off the kid gloves and put on the brass knuckles, folks.

Dear Congressman West, having seen the not so “gentlelady” from Florida on numerous occassions, it came as no surprise to hear more of the frenzied rhetoric that she “shrewdly” and routinely expresses when attacking anyone in opposition to her, and the democrat talking points.
Frankly, Congressman West, you are a patriot, she but a parrot. You stand for and enshrine, the Best of American Values, she, like the man she serves, only demean the offices they currently occupy and the American people they should represent.
Vile, yes! Despicable, you bet! And, as you rightly pointed out, …. she’s no lady. She’s just another left wing liberal fog horn with no substance or spine.
As in nature’s way, the sun will burn through the fog and it will lift. So will the truth be heard and Ms. Wasserman evaporate. “Empty Suits” tatter easily and are thus disposed of.
