Cultural Fascism: Christians Now Persecuted in America

This was bound to happen. I’m agnostic, and even I can see the cultural fascism taking hold in this country.

A lot of this persecution started long before the unconstitutional Supreme Court travesty.

From Fox News.

Two Christian ministers who own an Idaho wedding chapel were told they had to either perform same-sex weddings or face jail time and up to a $1,000 fine, according to a lawsuit filed Friday in federal court.

The owners of a small family farm in upstate New York were fined $13,000 for discriminating against a same-sex couple for refusing to host a wedding on their own property. They were also required to attend staff re-education training classes to teach the state’s viewpoint on marriage. They’re fighting back.

A family owned bakery was ordered to make wedding cakes for gay couples and guarantee that its staff be given comprehensive training on Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws. He chose to stop making wedding cakes altogether.

“Re-education”. “Sensitivity training”.

Just like the ‘re-education camps’ in communist countries.

More:

Homosexuals in Texas requested a cake for their “wedding” from a Christian bakery. When the bakers refused, they began to receive death threats from homosexuals. As one report documents:

“A Christian couple in Texas with devout religious beliefs who own a bakery and refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple said they received a threatening phone call that warned their house would be burned down and their 17-year-old son harmed.

Edie and David Delorme own Kern’s Bake Shop in Long View, Texas. On Feb. 17, Ben Valencia and Luis Marmolejo came to the shop and asked to buy a cake for their wedding, The Blaze reported. When Edie realized it was for a same-sex wedding, she politely refused, according to Christianity Today. “We don’t do cakes that might conflict with our spiritual convictions,” she told Fox News.

“It was not something personal against the two young men. We just need to be able to run our business in a way that honors God.” The Delormes reportedly are members of a local Baptist church. “She (Edie) said, ‘I’m sorry, but we don’t make same-sex wedding cakes, but here’s a list of other bakers in the area who would most likely be able to meet your needs. It was pretty civil. The gentleman said, ‘Okay’ and left,” said First Liberty Institute lawyer Michael Berry.

A few days later, the Delormes were informed by a local newspaper reporter that Valencia and Marmolejo were publicly accusing them of discrimination. Harassment and threats poured in, including vile posts on the bakers’ Facebook and Yelp pages. “Our son got a call where they threatened to burn our house down and violate him with a broken beer bottle. That was probably the worst,” Edie said. The couple also have an eight-year-old daughter, reports Fox News.”

I myself have received many death threats from homosexuals all throughout the country. To give you an example here are snapshots of the messages I receive from these supposed tolerant people:

Capture2Capture1

Well, what’s good for the gay goose is good for the gander:
A Colorado man has filed a religious discrimination complaint against a Denver bakery for refusing to write anti-gay slogans on a Bible-shaped cake.

Heterosexuals who try to order their own customized cakes from gay owned bakeries are met with expletive-laden tirades. So much for tolerance.

Anti-Christian discrimination has infected businesses, media, governments across the U.S.:

WND reported in August 2011 on the Houston, Texas, veterans’ cemetery director who issued an order banning God from military or veteran funerals at the facility.

WND reported in February that the city of New York was attempting to cancel the leases of all church and religious groups renting city facilities.

A leftwingnut reporter from an obscure ABC affiliate in Indiana, honed in on a pizza business in Walkerton she knew wouldn’t cater gay weddings. The town has a population of 2000, so you know the broad went to great lengths to seek out and find one little mom and pop pizzeria in one little town that she could set up for her embellished story.  After the story hit the airwaves, the Left ran up and down the field yelling ‘bigot’! into their megaphone, and issuing death threats to the pizza shop owners.

From the Mozilla CEO,  to the military, to Duck Dynasty, to Chick-fil-A, to straight athletes who are punished for the audacity of using their freedom of speech to counter the PC crap,  the gay mafia has tried to stamp out any opposing viewpoint.

The CEO of dating service OkCupid.com, who raised a stink over Mozilla’s Firefox CEO’s past support of Proposition 8, once made a donatation to an anti-gay congressman.   His excuse? He claimed ignorance. There was no public outcry. No calls for boycott. No media blitz.

A brilliant observation by a gay conservative:

And as liberal hypocrisy goes, it’s the usual bullshit.  The lesson:  If you express an opinion that doesn’t jive with the liberal meme, prepare for an onslaught of spleen-venting hostility.

Representatives of the homosexual community are the worst. Liberals want to define  ‘diversity’  in their own exclusive terms. Step outside the box, and you’ll witness some of the most gawd awful bigotry and hate speech you’ve ever seen.

In 2012 Dan Savage, (love the name) Obama pal, and founder of the “It Gets Better” project, an “anti-bullying” campaign, delivered a speech to high school students at the National High School Journalism Conference.  His speech quickly devolved into an anti-Christian diatribe laced with vulgar obscenities, sexual remarks, and insults toward people who didn’t care for his unprovoked hostility.

The Left engages in some of the worst hate speech, violence, and threats on record. Their  behavior says more about their bigotry than any claim of ‘tolerance’.

The Gaystapo is pretty  hateful and intolerant of opposing viewpoints, Christianity in particular.

This is an infringement on the rights of others to voice their own opinions and exercise their own right to associate and do business with whom they choose.

From Ben Domenech at The Federalist:

Are you having a fun Culture War 4.0? It’s certainly been a crazy ride for Indiana state representatives, who appear to be caving to pressure to “clarify” RFRA language after being assaulted for being anti-gay. Across the country, the opportunity for grandstanding has been seized by the sort of unserious people you would expect: the Washington governor and Seattle mayor have banned official travel to Indiana in the wake of the law. Connecticut’s governor displayed his own inability to understand the law in his state by banning travel there as well. And I’m fine with that, because hey, government officials shouldn’t be using taxpayer money to travel all over the place anyway, even if it does mean Washington and Connecticut officials will miss out on the memorial service for Lil’ Sebastian.

The notable thing about Culture War 4.0 is its consistent rejection of tolerance in favor of government enforced morality. Remember your Muad’Dib: “When I am weaker than you, I ask you for freedom because that is according to your principles; when I am stronger than you, I take away your freedom because that is according to my principles.” The peaceful tolerance for those who are different now extends too far, for it encompasses people who do not abide by or fully appreciate gay marriages. The people must be brought to heel, and the new morality enforced by government over their religious objections.

It’s instructive to observe George Stephanopoulos’s behavior on this topic, given his role as a very public shill for the Democratic Party. He’s not interested in having a debate on the subject or in acknowledging the importance of RFRAs – something he obviously did two decades ago while working for President Clinton. He’s interested in spouting aggressive talking points to frame Republicans as bigots for giving people the ability to defend their religious freedom in the courts. That’s the entire goal here: turn religious liberty into something that lives within the bounds of scare quotes.

And this goal is motivated not just by the political aims of the left, but by a broad rejection of tolerance as a virtue. It was all well and good when tolerance was about conservatives and religious types swallowing their objections and going along with things – but now that the left is being asked to do the same thing? Forget about it.

“The paradox is that even as America has become more tolerant of gays, many activists and liberals have become ever-more intolerant of anyone who might hold more traditional cultural or religious views. Thus a CEO was run out of Mozilla after it turned out that he had donated money to a California referendum opposing same-sex marriage. Part of the new liberal intolerance is rooted in the identity politics that dominates today’s Democratic Party… The same reversal of tolerance applies to religious liberty. When RFRA passed in 1993, liberal outfits like the ACLU were joined at the hip with the Christian Coalition. But now the ACLU is denouncing Indiana’s law because it wants even the most devoutly held religious values to bow to its cultural agenda on gay marriage and abortion rights.”

Instead of reinvigorating public discourse about how we value religious liberty and tolerance in the public square, the left’s interest is in shutting it down.

As Hans Fiene writes today on the motivations involved: “in order to keep our righteousness shiny, someone had to play the role of Bull Connor, and you were the best fit we could find.”.

They first asked for tolerance. Then they expected acceptance. Then they demanded participation. Lastly, they sued for punishment.
