GE to Benefit From Obama’s Defense Missile Renege

……Obama has told eastern European states he is abandoning plans to place interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar complex in the Czech Republic aimed at defending against missile launches from “rogue” states.

While Washington might hope to gain Russian co-operation on everything from nuclear weapons cuts to efforts to curb Iranian and North Korean weapons programmes, the risk remains that the move could also embolden Kremlin hardliners.

Shortly after the pullback on the shield programme was announced, Russia’s government said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin would meet several U.S. executives on Friday from firms including General Electric (GE.N), Morgan Stanley (MS.N) as well as TPG TPG.UL, one of the world’s largest private equity firms.

Jeffrey Immelt, GE CEO and owner of Obama’s NBC/MSNBC media wing has just scored a coup at the expense of Eastern Europe’s security.

The corrupt relationship between Obama and GE shows just how much influence Immelt has on some of Obama’s decisions. What’s next? The appointment of Immelt as foreign policy czar?
