How Obamessiah Got Elected

Commentator and filmmaker Robert Ziegler interviewed Obama supporters as they exited voting facilities on election day. He asked them a series of 12 simple multiple choice questions designed to probe the depths of their political knowlege. Turns out they’re pretty shallow.

This is a synopsis from his website:

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama’s limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple… the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video below seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not.

During the course of the interviews, he found that they had no idea who controls Congress, who Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barney Frank are or what party they belong to. They did however, know all the media lies about Sarah Palin’s clothing allowance and the smears about her pregnant teenage daughter. There was one ‘trick question’ involving Sarah Palin’s true statement about Russia:

“They’re our next door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska”.

Those were her exact words. The quote Obama supporters seem to remember instead, is the one by comedian Tina Fey:

“And I can see Russia from my house.”

What about Obama’s numerous off-the-wall gaffes, character flaws, and vile associations?

“I’ve now been in 57 states, I think, with one left to go.”

Most attributed the quote to Palin, a few to McCain. None knew it was Obama.

They also had no clue that Obama won his first election by getting all of the other candidates kicked off the ballot, or that he would purposely bankrupt the coal industry. Again, they attributed that to Palin or McCain. They had no idea who terrorist William Ayers is or of his connection to Obama. Well, one did say that he was a “washed up terrorist”. Close, but no cigar.
They weren’t much better when it came to the Dem VP. They didn’t know of the infamous Biden quote:

“Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy”

Or, that Biden had to quit a previous campaign because he plagiarized a speech.

This documentary proves what we, on the right, already knew: Many of the bots who pressed the button for Obama have no grasp of the issues, some didn’t care, others voted for skin color, and the rest believe his socialist ideas.

What a collection of idiots.
