The pig who kidnapped three young women and abused them for over a decade, gets only life without parole and one thousand years.
I say “only” because the son of a bitch deserves a slow, painful death death for killing at least 2 pregnancies he fathered by the rape of his victims. Unfortunately, he made a plea deal to take the death penalty off the table.
Michelle Knight was the only victim to give an impact statement in person. Gina De Jesus and Amanda Berry gave theirs through family members.
The list of atrocities include:
512 counts of kidnapping, 446 counts of rape, seven counts of gross sexual imposition, six counts of felonious assault, three counts of child endangerment, two counts of aggravated murder (he is accused of unlawfully terminating the pregnancy of one of his captives), and one count of possessing criminal tools.
Gawd, what a fucking monster. I really hope his fellow inmates get a hold of his filthy ass and mete out the same kind of pain on him that he inflicted on his victims for ten years.
He also has quite a history of being a rotten, drunken douchebag to his ex-wife:
……his deceased ex-wife Grimilda Figueroa had filed very serious physical abuse charges against him, allegations of violent and multiple beatings at his hands (including being hit in the head with some barbells). But the case was dismissed because Castro failed to show up several times, and at a critical juncture his ex-wife’s lawyer didn’t appear.
……Castro’s son Anthony has backed up his late mother’s accusations, describing his father “as a controlling, abusive and often drunk ogre who once nearly beat his mom, Grimilda Figueroa, to death as she was recovering from brain surgery.” She and her four children, including Anthony, left Castro in 1996, long before the kidnappings occurred.
His family has got to be some of the most ignorant, stupid people on the planet. He constantly refused to allow friends and family into his home. He brought the young daughter of Amanda Berry over to his mother’s house, yet was never questioned about the child’s mother. His brothers were happy drunks most of the time, and apparently oblivious to the hell hole he created in his house.
His son, Anthony, was clueless as well:
He said in an interview with London’s Daily Mail newspaper that he now speaks with his father just a few times a year and seldom visited his house. He said on his last visit, two weeks ago, his father wouldn’t let him inside.
“The house was always locked,” he said. “There were places we could never go. There were locks on the basement. Locks on the attic. Locks on the garage.”
And they never thought to ask why??
As if the whole thing wasn’t fucked up enough, the FBI missed a golden opportunity to snag Castro:
The FBI interrogated the boyfriend of Ariel Castro’s ex-wife over the disappearance of one of the missing women while never questioning Mr Castro himself, it has emerged.
Fernando Colon said that he was intensively interviewed, followed by officers and made to give samples of his DNA following the disappearance of Georgina DeJesus, who was then 14, in 2004.
Ms DeJesus had last been seen walking home from school by her friend Arlene Castro, the youngest daughter of Ariel Castro and Grimilda Figueroa, who had by then left the school bus driver.
Mr Colon, who as Ms Figueroa’s boyfriend was a stepfather figure to Arlene, was suspected by police of being involved with her friend’s disappearance and became the focus of their inquiries.
“Ariel wasn’t investigated at all,” Frank Caraballo, his former brother-in-law, told The Daily Telegraph. “Why was Arlene’s actual father out of the picture? He’s the bus driver, he knows where all these kids go.”
Mr Colon, now 49, claimed to have told his FBI interviewers that Mr Castro was a more likely culprit, but said that his suggestion was totally ignored by investigators.
Castro’s rambling, obscene, insufferable, self-absorbed statement during the sentencing hearing made me sick. He’s a narcissistic sociopath who blames others for his brutality.
If all goes well, he will suffer excruciating torture and pain at the hands of prison inmates until he croaks.
