Leftwing Internutters, Politicians Fall For Fake Limbaugh Quotes (UPDATE)

Limbaugh responds in the Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704322004574477021697942920.html

Sharpton threatens to sue:

I would love to see Sharpton try to sue anyone for pointing out that he’s a criminal scumbag. In 2008, the Feds dropped charges of tax fraud after he agreed to pay millions in back taxes. He also extorted contributions from corporations in exchange for him not protesting against them.

That mutherfucker has no visable means of support. How in the hell did he get so rich? That needs to be investigated.

Bring in on Al. You, Jesse Jackson, and the rest of your race-baiting cronies are so corrupt, the court procedings would be a three-ring circus of embarrassment.

Guess who really  uses racial expressions, but they get a pass because they’re black and they support Obama:

Hat Tip to Big Hollywood.

“And the game done chose me to bring pain to niggas and pussy holes, they one in the same.” – I’m Real, co-written by Jennifer Lopez, minority owner of the Miami Dolphins.

The NFL is saturated with devisive, controversial behavior, and contrary to Roger Goodell’s statement, “We’re all held to a high standard here”, there’s some pretty low standards being set.

The news of Rush Limbaugh’s bid for a stake in the St. Louis Rams has spawned a new round of faux internet stories, this time the subject is Limbaugh’s supposed list of “racist comments”.

Rick Sanchez, one of the asshats at CNN, regurgitated one of the false quotes:

SANCHEZ: One of the quotes that’s been attributed to Rush Limbaugh, is “Slavery built the South.  I’m not saying that we should bring it back.  I’m just saying that it had its merits.  For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”  Among the news organizations that reported that yesterday was our show at three o’clock.  Limbaugh’s response to this is — and we want to be fair to Rush — he says, “We’ve gone back, we’ve looked at everything else, and there is not even an inkling that any of the words in that quote are accurate.  It is outrageous.” So Rush Limbaugh is denying that that quote has come from him.  Uh, obviously that does not take away the fact that there are other quotes [that] have been attributed to Rush Limbaugh which many people in the African-American community and many other minority communities do find offensive.

Since Sanchez opened the can of worms, Rush produced a spoon and fed him the contents:

RUSH: Okay. So Rick Sanchez repeats the slavery quote, notes that I deny it, and then says it doesn’t matter. Do you know who Rick Sanchez is? Do you know he’s got two middle names? Rick “DUI” Sanchez, Rick “Leaving-the-Scene” Sanchez. Rick Sanchez was a hit-and-run driver when he lived in Miami, and he is a hit-and-run reporter. From the New York Observer, October 9th, 2007: “Mr. Sanchez had already survived what would ordinarily be a career-killer. While leaving a Miami Dolphins game with his father in 1990, Mr. Sanchez struck a drunken pedestrian, who later died of his injuries. According to police, Mr. Sanchez’s own blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit, and he left the scene before returning. He ultimately pleaded no contest to a D.U.I. charge, but avoided jail time, and even remained on the air. Asked about the incident, Mr. Sanchez’s Ron Burgundy jocularity vanished in an instant.

Hardball sucks, doesn’t it, Rick?

None of them have produced any audio, transcripts, dates, places; nothing to support the slander. They just threw it into cyberspace, where it spread like a virus.  Other raving moonbats who had aneurysms over the possibility of Limbaugh’s participation in the NFL, include Sheila Jackson Lee, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton…the usual gang of race-baiting gutter rats.
Limbaugh responds, point by point, to all the accusations, as well as covering the gamut of the racial comments, illegal activities, and unethical behavior of the accusers.

Charles Johnson, the schizoid owner of Little Green Footballs has jumped on the bandwagon. I don’t go to his site anymore, but when someone else points to his latest tirades, I’ll relay their post for the entertainment value.

Hat Tip to Ace of Spades: http://minx.cc/?post=293599

From Ace:

Charles Johnson was against fake but accurate before he was for it.

No link for the idiot. I’ll just quote him. From a thread:

Top 10 Rush Limbaugh Racist Quotes. (http://newsone.com/obama/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/)
All out of context, and sarcasm. Right?

That link I’ve left in provides a flurry of extremely dubious Limbaugh “quotes” — and not a single link or citation. Including the ones created wholesale by noted scholar “zedladdy” and spread by no lesser authority than “cobra.”

Given that “zedladdy” and “cobra” previously invented own quotes, spread them around, and then uploaded them to WikiQuote, I’d say pretty much every unsourced quote in this list is suspect. (Edit: I mean except the Donovan McNabb quote, which I know is real, since I heard it ‘n stuff.)

But surely our crusading Mensa Chapter President wouldn’t be taken in by an obvious false “quote” like:
“You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.” And yet here’s Johnson quoting it as “classic”.
Charles Johnson read it on the internet, so it’s true.

Johnson’s response:

There will be no retraction. The quote is disputed, but it has not been proven false. And there are plenty of other racist quotes that you seem to be just gliding right past that are NOT disputed.

The Limbaugh “quotes” are complete fabrications, (http://pajamasmedia.com/eddriscoll/2009/10/13/the-faith-based-encyclopedia-in-action/) but that won’t stop leftwingnuts like Charles and company from spreading them around.

By the way, another example of Johnson’s pathetic descent:

By the way, from looking through the logs I can tell that there are people searching through the LGF archives for comments they can use to smear me with.

They’re not going to find posts by me that they can use, but I’m sure there are some nasty comments still hidden among the nearly 8 million that have been posted here that will serve their purpose — comments I’ve never even seen.

If you happen to be going through old posts and see something that should be deleted, please click the exclamation point icon and let me know about it.

He’s sitting there like Captain Queeg rolling the ball bearings between his fingers.

Altered slightly to fit Johnson’s Queeg-like quirkiness:

Ahh, but the strawberries nasty comments that’s… that’s where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with… geometric logic my faithful footstool Sharmuta, that a duplicate key to the  wardroom icebox  people searching through the LGF archives for comments they can use to smear me DID exist, and I’d have produced that key if they hadn’t of pulled the Caine out of action. I won’t rest until every single one of them are deleted so they cannot serve their purpose.  I, I, I know now they were am only trying to protect some fellow officers my reputation….

He writes from his bunker and sends out his flying monkeys to look for ‘heretics’.  Right now he’s having them scour Hot Air for comments he deems “racist” and “offensive” so he can post them.  He also encourages his followers to report any criticism toward him on his and other people’s sites. A scan of the site shows countless examples of “comment deleted”; the censorship of blasphemers.

His personal vendettas, paranoia, and petty behavior is the exclamation point on his epic fail.  He’s become a laughing stock: http://racedetective.blogspot.com/

Johnson jumped off the sanity cliff a while back. He spends his time screaming from the bottom of the chasm. http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/04/23/lgfs-head-lizard-has-a-very-thin-skin/

More on the Limbaugh conntroversy:

From Tim Blair at the Daily Telegraph:
http://blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/timblair/index.php/dailytelegraph/comments/they_want_to_believe/

And from Toby Harnden at the Daily Telegraph: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/tobyharnden/100013647/the-rush-limbaugh-media-lynch-mob/

Limbaugh may be out as an NFL team bidder thanks to the smear campaign, but don’t expect him to run from this fight.  He was ostracized because of his conservative viewpoints, not because of a lack of football knowledge.

Double standards are rampant in the political realm of the Left. Keith Olberman, one of the most unhinged radicals on the planet, is one of the hosts of NBC’s Football Night in America, and Roger Goodell never even blinked.  Michael Vick tortured and killed dogs for sport, yet he’s back playing football.  Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson embrace the racist ideology of Louis Farakhan, but are not subjected to the same scrutiny.  The vicious attacks launched by this group of mealy-mouthed demagouges passes as standard debate.

Stay classy, leftwingnuts.
