Police and FBI are questioning James Holmes, 24, the suspected gunman in a shooting early this morning at a crowded Aurora, Colo., movie theater that left 12 people dead and at least 50 wounded, as police work to disarm explosive ‘booby traps’ in his apartment.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has emerged as one of the nation’s highest-profile supporters of gun control, demanded on Friday that the presidential candidates “stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about” mass shootings.
Asked about the Colorado mass shootings at a movie theater showing “The Dark Knight Rises” in Aurora, Colo., that killed at least 12 people, Bloomberg said politicians needed to offer policy proposals in addition to prayers and sympathy.
“Soothing words are nice,” Bloomberg said during an interview on WOR News Talk Radio 710 in New York City. “But maybe it’s time the two people who want to be president of the United States stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about it, because this is obviously a problem across the country. And everybody always says, ‘Isn’t it tragic?’”
“I mean, there’s so many murders with guns every day,” he continued. “It’s just gotta stop. And instead of these two people, President [Barack] Obama and Governor [Mitt] Romney talking in broad things about, they want to make the world a better place. OK. Tell us how. And this is a problem. No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?”
Hey Bloomberg: Ask Obama what he’s going to do about the crimes and murders that happened because of his Fast and Furious gunrunning operation. Assclown.
When some mentally deranged shitbag commits a crime like this, all of the anti-Second Amendment trolls come crawling out of the woodwork. The only ones who would benefit from oppressive anti-gun rights are criminals who don’t give a damn about the law to begin with.
New York City has one of the nation’s highest gun-related crime rates, in spite of a total gun ban. Whaddya gonna do about that, Bloomberg?
I own a gun, and I keep it for self/home protection. When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away and I don’t have Bloomberg’s security system of body guards.

Difficult to say what Mike P meant, so I would not jump to that conclusion right away.
When I look at Chicago, I see a land where Obama’s political cronies have done everything possible to disarm the innocent people. Just like our economy. Obama is doing everything possible to take away from the producers their ability to make decisions, make a profit, and innovate. The government takes. Businesses are left defenseless. The thieves and welfare takers rule more and more. Liberals everywhere demand that victims sit there and take it because it is the role of government to dispense justice. Problem is, government does not dispense justice, especially if liberals have labeled the victim as white and too rich to really need that money. Or, illegal aliens cannot help themselves so law enforcement should look the other way while they break our laws.
We have come to the point where the only solution left is to dissolve this awkward marriage between the socialist leaning states and the conservative leaning states. Unfortunately, liberals will never allow that to happen. Liberals are far too dependent upon enslaving the producers. So the only result will be a large civil war where those who can no longer live under the liberal fist will fight a bloody conflict to be free. “No Peace Without Justice” — that is a liberal bumper sticker that liberals should pay very close attention to.
