What a brilliant, articulate historian. He makes Joe Biden look like a fucking statesman.
Does he make up this shit as he goes along?
“Long before America was even an idea, this land of plenty was home to many peoples. The British and French, the Dutch and Spanish, to Mexicans, to countless Indian tribes. We all shared the same land,” President Obama told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
A few historical facts that went right over his pointy head:
Mexico declared its independence on September 16, 1810. It was recognized on September 27, 1821.
The United States of America declared its independence in 1776.

Just a few more facts:
Last I checked, “Mexicans” are a cross between Spanish conquistadors and the native Aztecs, Mayan, Olmecs, and Toltecs. America was an idea awhile before Mexico became an independent country. From 1521 until 1821, Mexico was called New Spain.
The border did not cross Mexicans. They weren’t here before America became a country. They didn’t live in the territorial U.S. before the Spanish-American War or even after the Spanish-American War.
If you want to get into the weeds over who was “here” first; Leif Erikson was here long before the Mexicans. Kennewick man, who’s 9,300 year old remains were discovered in Washington State, was here before that.
Shared the same land? If you call different cultures living wide apart in different areas of the country “sharing”.
Obama’s grasp of history is about as good as his understanding of economics and national security: Nil.
I can hardly wait until this shitbag is out in 2013.
