Note to THE ONE: The People Are Angry

Congress, Senate and the Obamessiah have been put on notice: We’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore.

Benedict Arlen Specter got an earful:

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter’s town-hall meeting at HACC’s Lebanon campus drew angry comments from people unhappy with proposals for a national health care program.

“You are about to concentrate more information in one place in the computers of Washington than has ever occurred,” said one man. He said Congress should research health care plans in other states and determine “what has worked, what has failed. And don’t concentrate all this power in the bureaucrats of Washington.”

……About 250 people were in the town hall meeting, but many more wanted to get inside. Local police officers said they estimated that 2,000 to 3,000 people lined up to get inside the meeting. A line of people stretched around the block.

Many comments were critical of the government, including those accusing Specter and other Democrats of trying to “socialize” America and of giving special treatment to illegal immigrants.

As did John Dingell:

There were no buses, no swastikas, not a piece of Astroturf in sight.

But there was name-calling, jeering, red faces and finger-pointing as Michigan residents shot back with fury at a congressional town-hall meeting geared to explaining President Obama’s health care plan.

Rep. John D. Dingell, a Democrat and a lead author of health care legislation in the House, did his best to remain composed, even as many constituents and other residents argued that the plan is socialized medicine and rained down fury against a smaller group of supporters for the plan.

“You’re a fraud, you have not read the bill,” screamed Mike Sola, who got directly in the lawmaker’s face in furious confrontation, wheeling his 36-year-old son, Scott, who has cerebral palsy, directly to the podium before police stepped in and encouraged the Milan, Mich., man to leave. He asserted that the bill would not help his disabled child.

So how does the government and its media hacks respond?
With libel, slander, and gutter insults. We’re “racists, mobs, neo nazis, and terrorists”.  And don’t forget the Obama ‘snitch line’ for reporting ‘fishy emails and conversations’ questioning his policies.

Said Dingell:

Well, the last time I had to confront something like this, was when I voted for the civil rights bill and my opponent voted against it. At that time, we had a lot of Ku Klux Klan folks, white supremists, and folks in white sheets and other things running around and causing trouble.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfoGCYFRQlM&eurl=]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfoGCYFRQlM&eurl=

Newsflash for that moron Dingell: The KKK’s origins were part and parcel of the DEMOCRATIC Party. They consistently voted against civil rights and were responsible for passing the Jim Crow laws. Nothing erodes credibility like fatuous comments. Dingell is an assclown.

Meanwhile, Obama stages yet another Potemkin townhall, replete with ObamaCare supporters and planted questions:

Hat Tip to Michelle Malkin and Gateway Pundit.

Little Julia Hall is just the latest in-the-tank questioner with Obama campaign/Democrat ties to turn up “randomly” at presidential health care forums.

A girl from Malden asked President Obama a question at Tuesday’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire about the signs outside “saying mean things” about his health care proposal.

Eleven-year-old Julia Hall asked: “How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can — that help more of us?”

The question opened the door for the president to respond to what he called an “underlying fear” among the public “that people somehow won’t get the care they need.”

……Julia’s mother was an early Obama supporter and donor in Massachusetts during the presidential election, so she had previously met First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama daughters Sasha and Malia, and Vice President Joe Biden.

……Kathleen Manning Hall, Julia’s mother, was shocked when her daughter said she wanted to ask a question. They wrote it down beforehand, and Julia didn’t miss a beat when Obama called on her.

“It was surreal,” said Manning Hall, a coordinator of Massachusetts Women for Obama during the election.

……”Julia talked about it the whole way home,” said Manning Hall, adding that they often discuss politics. “We talk a lot about human rights and having compassion for people.”
http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/malden/2009/08/a_girl_from_malden_asked.html

Yeah, I bet you do.
This is reminiscent of the Graeme Frost hoax pulled by the democrats back in 2007.

Graeme Frost, the 12-year-old child severely injured in a terrible car accident that also left his sister with permanent disabilities. Graeme Frost was propped up by Democrats desperate to avert the president’s veto of S-CHIP legislation, which would have massively expanded the government health care entitlement.

……The boy gave the Democratic radio address last week, written for him by Senate Democrat staffers, and made several Beltway lobbying appearances with top Dem leaders.

……The family is not as destitute as the MSM has made them out to be. ….Why (would) a “working family” in need of government-subsidized health care can afford to send two children to a $20,000-a-year-private school.

……the family claims to be raising their four children on combined income of about $45,000 a year. “Bonnie Frost works for a medical publishing firm; her husband, Halsey, is a woodworker. They are raising their four children on combined income of about $45,000 a year. Neither gets health insurance through work.”

What the article does not mention is that Halsey Frost has owned his own company “Frostworks”,since this marriage announcement in the NY Times in 1992 so he chooses to not give himself insurance. He also employed his wife as “bookkeeper and operations management” prior to her recent 2007 hire at the “medical publishing firm”. As her employer, he apparently denied her health insurance as well.

His company, Frostworks, is located at 3701 E BALTIMORE ST. A building that was purchased for $160,000 in 1999…

…One has to wonder that if time and money can be found to remodel a home, send kids to exclusive private schools, purchase commercial property and run your own business… maybe money can be found for other things…maybe Dad should drop his woodworking hobby and get a real job that offers health insurance rather than making people like me (also with 4 kids in a 600sf smaller house and tuition $16,000 less per kid and no commercial property ownership) pay for it in my taxes.

Michelle’s response is spot on:

Fight your battles like adults and stop hiding behind youngsters dragging around red wagons filled with your talking points.

Obama said this during a meeting with his bots:

“I don’t want people thinking I just have a bunch of plants in here.”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv6so1tYn5A&eurl=

Of course not.

Some of them were bussed to the staged New Hampshire meeting.
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/08/bus-ted-obama-bussed-in-supporters-for.html

There’s enough astroturf at Obama ‘townhalls’ to cover a goddamn football field.

The Democrats desperately want to shut down any debate from opposition.  They’ve already violated the Constitution, hired SEIU thugs to intimidate protesters, and now they hide out in SEIU offices:

Tim Bishop (D, NY-01) is having something called a “health care reform rally” on Thursday, at (of all things) SEIU’sHicksville NY offices (1199 Duffy Ave, starts at 1 PM). This is otherwise known as “over twenty miles outside the borders of NY-01.” Bishop is of course one of the first Democrats holding down a Red district (NY-01 is a R+0) to discover that his constituents are paying attention to his votes: he rather famously canceled his future in-district meetings. Presumably he assumes that his constituents won’t drive twenty miles to complain.

Meanwhile, Leonard Boswell (D, IA-03) has at least decided to stay in-district for his “health care listening post” – barely.  Although his district includes Des Moines, Boswell has instead decided to travel 80 miles east this week to the Sigourney Public Library (Thursday, 2 PM).  He won’t be actually having any meetings on the subject in the Des Moine area (where the vast majority of his constituents live) for another two weeks.  Still, at least he’s having them; apparently being D+1 can make the difference between in and out of district.

http://moelane.com/2009/08/11/rep-bishop-boswell-having-health-care-meetings-allllll-the-way-over-there/

Michael Barone has more on SEIU tactics:
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/Democrats-flummoxed-by-health-care-protests-52904087.html

More brownshirt tactics by Obama’s myrmidons:

“Health Care for America,” a left-wing pressure group started by the likes of ACORN and the AFL-CIO last week issued advice to Obama supporters who might attend a meeting where someone actually musters the courage to question the wisdom of the Obama health reforms.

“We don’t need to … answer their accusations point by point. Instead, we should treat them as agents of the insurance lobbyists,” says the group, adding: “The people who show up are far right ideologues recruited by paid organizers … funded by industry lobbyists and public relations firms to engage radical rightwing groups.”

The bottom line: Discredit the President’s critics. And while you’re at it, advises the group, help “friendly” Members of Congress by packing their meetings with friends and “shut down” hostile questioners by “chants that counter their message like “Health Care Can’t Wait.”

These tactics were nowhere more evident than at a recent town hall meeting in Tampa where union goons beat up one questioner and a Democratic Party official assaulted another. Amazingly, however, in spite of the threats, people are still showing up and daring to disagree. This has to worry politicians who have been forced to leave the sanitary bubble that is Washington to meet with actual voters.
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/OpEd-Contributor/White-House-crackdown-on-dissent-means-honeymoon-is-over-8087286.html

The democrat’s accusations of ‘neo nazi’ and ‘racist’ don’t square with all the Jewish and Black democrats who’ve joined the dissenters. It’s obvious who the racists, mobs, terrorists and neo nazis really are.

Hint: It’s not the ‘angry mobs’ .

Final comment here on this issue……

    Editors comment:

    John,

In that case, there’s no point in publishing the rest of your statement since it runs the gamut of Obamazombie talking points. All of the socialist panacea bullshit emanating from THE ONE’s propaganda department has been dissected and thoroughly debunked. The so-called “public option” is more of a plan to seize total control of our healthcare system and force government-mandated rationing of healthcare. If you decide to drop in for one last visit to take a peek, go here:

Read the post and the debate I had with Steve in the comments. I’ve pointed out, in great detail, why ObamaCare is just one of his Statist fantasies. If you buy Obama’s snake oil, that’s your problem. Some people are just that gullible.

    Cheers,

  2. Snark? I think I’ve pointed out an important point to this situation that this article completely misses. The majority of the people that are “angry” with President Obama are people that didn’t vote for him in the first place. Ergo, the same people are still angry. They were angry before the election, they’re angry now.

The people that did vote for Obama that are angry now, tend to be part of the LGBT community and are upset by Obama’s stalling on the repeal of DOMA and DADT, not his healthcare plans.

    1. “Godless”,
The only “point” you made was “all the people that didn’t vote for him are still really angry that he’s president”. That’s obvious. And your “point” is?

I gave a detailed explaination as to why the people who didn’t vote for him are still angry.
      I didn’t miss a thing.

As for the LGBT community: If all they have to focus on is crap like DADT, their priorities are wacked.

    1. “Godless”,
You forgot about the part where we’re angry because the socialist empty suit is destroying our economy and national security. And there’s also that little aspect of his regime that calls for suppression of dissent.
Read the whole post next time.

Your response was more snark than substance; typical for a leftwingnut.

  3. This is truly a sickening blog. I’ve read through this page several times, searching for a single milligram of truth, and can’t find one anywhere. FactCheck.org and PolitiFact.com make you all look like a bunch of one-eyed pirates. The people who are shouting down the speakers and other citizens at these town hall meetings are tools of the insurance industry and political operatives who would rather see the administration fail than do what’s right for the country. Thankfully, a growing majority of the country is fully aware of this, despite the level of noise that your zombies have produced. And the notion that people who support health care reform shouldn’t develop tactics to deal with the people who are disrupting these town hall meetings is preposterous. Put it this way– if the screamers had their way, nobody would be able to learn anything about the reforms bills currently being considered by Congress. On the other hand, if the screamers are silenced, everybody, including the screamers, would be able to get some information. But you don’t want answers because you think you have them already. And you don’t want to “debate” the issue, either. The truth is that you are afraid of information. You want to obstruct and attack and shout down anybody who wants to know the facts. Not a single rational idea has come out of the people who oppose health care reform. You think the United States, which is ranked 37th in quality of care, is doing just fine. Who cares about the uninsured and the millions who go bankrupt every year because of spiraling medical costs? Certainly, not the likes of you people. Looking out for #1 while acting like you want what’s smart for the country. You should all be ashamed yourselves.

    1. John,

What’s sickening is your Obamabot rhetoric, and the way you buy his rotten bill of goods without a second thought. He’s using his Office to abuse the Constitution, cram his socialist policies down our throats, and dispatch SEIU brownshirts in an attempt to squelch dissent. Those are the “tactics” he uses to “deal with people disrupting (READ: exercising freedom of speech) at these townhall meetings”.
Another favorite tactic of THE ONE is to pack his townhall audience with supporters and planted questions. That kind of “forum” isn’t very informative.
Newsflash, John: Elected politicians work for US, not the other way around. We’ve heard and listened to their bullshit and we get it: “Shut up. You’ll take this “reform” and you’ll like it”.
Well, guess what. We refuse to goosestep to Dear Leader’s program. I love how you Obamabots place the blame on people like Michelle Malkin for what is actually a grassroots movement. It scares the hell out of the ObamaCare democrats, so they resort to calling us “nazis, terrorists, and racists”. Some of us still believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We’re fighting back.

Speaking of “big business” the pharmaceutical industry is all giddy over ObamaCare:
      http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/08/12/big_business_goes_big_for_health-care_reform_97859.html

The irony is that the Big Pharma industry may end up getting screwed right along with the rest of us.
      http://minx.cc/?post=290821

“FactCheck.org”? The same site that doesn’t always have its own “facts” straight. Great source there, John. I prefer to reference the real-life results of Obama’s weapons-grade idiocy.

      Speaking of lies:

      http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/08/11/obamas-lie-of-the-day/

Have you even bothered to READ any of the bill itself? Probably not, but then you’re right in the same league as the rest of the Obama zombies who support this socialist monstrosity.

Here’s a huge dose of the truth, for you. Read my responses to another ObamaCare fan, who incidentally wasn’t quite as brainwashed as you:

They contain facts and hard reality convieniently omitted from your diatribe.

      As for your assertion:

Thankfully, a growing majority of the country is fully aware of this, despite the level of noise that your zombies have produced.

Really? Looks like that little bit of wishful thinking has been blown to smithereens by another dose of reality:

      http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/10/drooping-polls-undercut-claims-of-scripted-protest/

The way you deny and dismiss the overwhelming opposition to this train wreck takes a pretty sophisticated set of cerebral blinders.

And you don’t even have the decency to be embarrassed.

      SFC MAC
