NPR Fires Juan Williams For the Sin of Being Honest

Juan gets a rude awakening.

NPR News has terminated the contract of longtime news analyst Juan Williams after remarks he made on the Fox News Channel about Muslims.

Williams appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor,” Monday and host Bill O’Reilly asked him to comment on the idea that the nation was facing a dilemma with Muslims.

……Williams responded: “Look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

NPR didn’t fire a cartoonist who insulted tea party attendees. Apparently that kind of vulgar smear is consistent with their editorial standards and practices.

As liberals go, Williams isn’t as looney as most of them, and I’ve actually heard him say things I agree with. NPR is a left-leaning organization that doesn’t take kindly to right-leaning viewpoints, even if those views come from a run-of-the-mill liberal.

NPR already had fits over Williams’ regular appearance on Fox News and minced no words over its displeasure. For the National People’s Radio, this was the final straw.

Williams was fired for telling the truth. Muslims declared war on America and in the process of using 4 planes as human-filled homicide devices, killed almost 3000 people. I don’t get nervous when I see muslims, I get angry.

CAIR, a known Islamic terrorist facilitator spewed their usual propaganda:

Before Williams was fired, the Council on American-Islamic Relations said such commentary from a journalist about other racial, ethnic or religious minority groups would not be tolerated.“NPR should address the fact that one of its news analysts seems to believe that all airline passengers who are perceived to be Muslim can legitimately be viewed as security threats,” CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said.

Fuck NPR.  If the comments section at the article are any indication, its audience base just shrunk even further. The government needs to stop subsidizing this leftwing propaganda machine with taxpayer funds.
