Creeping Fascism.
Exercise your free speech rights, and Reich Fuhrer Obama will have you investigated.
From the Whitehouse website:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov
The DNC has produced a propaganda video aimed at grassroot anti-tax/spend protesters:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtTBkxvBq88&eurl=
Obama’s also putting on a propaganda campaign to push his agenda, and a call to his myrmidons to show up at townhall meetings to disrupt the protests of concerned taxpayers:
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/25824.html
The healthcare industry is pushing back:
http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/health-insurance-industry-pushes-back-on-democrats-2009-08-04.html
The Tea Parties are continuing across the country, and crowds show up outside the offices of their elected officials, Democrats in particular, only to be met with insults or politicians who refuse to come out from under their desks to face their constituents.
http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/democrats-hiding-from-constituents/
Even registered dyed-in-the-wool democrats are pissed off at all this, and they’re being characterized as part of the ‘unruly mob’. How’dya like that? Is this the ‘change’ you wanted?
Clearly, the leftwing democrats want to shut down the opposition. Don’t like the ObamaCare/cap and tax/ spend/bailout orgy? Don’t like the socialist takeover of the auto industry, major banks, and private corporations? Don’t like the fact that he’s going to plunge this country into a 23.7 trillion dollar depression that will make 1929 look like a picnic? Woe be to you if you speak up.
According to Obama, if you don’t support his socialist healthcare proposal you’re a “right-wing extremist, part of an unruly mob, out to destroy his presidency, resistant to change, and unwilling to seize the moment”.
Yep, add me to your “enemies list”, Dear Leader.
We first heard from the birthers, with their fake “birth certificate” in hand and with their fake outrage. These are the same under tones that you saw from Republicans during the confirmation hearings for Sonia Sotomayor, “you are not like us” or “you are too different”, “you are not main stream”. And then they act surprised when people do not vote with them, they are lost, no core beliefs, too bad.
In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while at the same time trying to take away their rights) and that’s who they need to focus on if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”.
It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like Katrina and the Walter Reed Scandal, but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.
Paul,
Most Republicans, myself included, are not on board with the “birthers”.
Secondly, we are against Sotomayor for some very good reasons: http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/05/27/leftwingnut-sotomayor-nominated-for-scotus/
She lacks some very basic “core beliefs”, like the fact that judges interpret the law, they don’t make it.
Talk about ‘pushing beliefs’, have you paid attention to the far left fringe in the Democratic party lately?
Speaking of ‘taking away rights’:

http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/04/15/enemies-of-obamas-state/
The megalomaniac sonofabitch is walking all over the Constitution with jack-booted efficiency.
Don’t act surprised if we capitalize on that and fill some Senate and Congressional seats with Republicans in 2010.
To allow the government to exceed control and influence over the private sector is just plain crazy.
As for your military care comparison: apples and oranges. I’m a retired Soldier, and I can give an informed opinion on that. I did not have to go to a military doctor if I chose not to. I had the option of going on sick call or making an appointment with an off-post doctor.
I’ve said this before: If the government takes over health care in this country, there will be a Darwinization of medicine. Government claims agents will be appointed to decide whether or not your life is worth saving or if it’s “necessary” to provide treatment. The government will decide which doctor you will have, what kind of treatment will be allocated, and when. Like Canada. Like Britain. Like Germany. You will have no choice. If you think the cost of medical treatment is high enough now, just wait if Obama gets his way.
Who do think will foot the bill for this train wreck? If you said “the already overburdened taxpayers”, congratulations.
Everytime the government oversteps its bureaucratic bounds, it fucks up royally. Not only should we not support them, we should do everything in our power to see they don’t succeed.

If that is true than he will certainly fail because the grass-roots put him over the objection and campaign of the elite. I don’t think Obama is a fool and socialize health care is for the grass-roots. It is the elite that has always fought against socialization of anything. We are in the mess we are in because of greed and selfishness of the elite and big business.
joeland7,
The “grassroots”…like ACORN? To deny that Obama is an assclown, takes a pretty sophisticated set of cerebral blinders. We are in the mess we’re in because Obama and the democrats took a mild resession and turned it into a socialist-driven hell. We are in this mess because the leftwing elite MSM helped manufacture this turd; suppressing any and all criticism and truth about his radical Marxist background.
You’ve forgotten the Democrat-created Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae debacle, that forced banks to lend, at a subprime rate, to people who had no business getting home loans. “Big business” in this case, are the unions who are the biggest beneficiaries of the auto industry bailout.
I’m not “elite” and I’m dead set against socialization of anything. Britain and Canada are a testament to the abject failure of socialized medicine: http://sfcmac.wordpress.com/2009/06/11/want-a-taste-of-obamacare-try-canada/
The socialists in power have wealth envy and want to take even more from those who have and give to those who do not work. They’re inflicting massive government interference in the economy, instead of allowing free enterprise to take its course.
Oh and speaking of ‘elites’, how ’bout the hypocrisy of angry rich liberals:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/aug/02/angry-rich-liberals/?feat=home_themes_tab3_featuredSunday
Obama is systematically destroying our free market capitalist economy with the blessing of his congressional and senate cohorts. You know it’s bad when former Soviet/communist countries are warning against the acceptace of a socialist state, and Hugo Chavez marvels at the fact he and Fidel Castro are ‘to the right of Obama’.
Your children’s children will be paying for this projected 23.7 trillion dollar debt.
Keep your ‘change’.
