Wow, that was fast. Obama’s hacks in Toledo have already started harrassing this guy. The MSM has vetted Joe Wurzelbacher more in the last 24 hours than it has Obama, since he started his campaign.
From a snark piece at “The Hotline”:
Wurzelbacher registered as an apprentice with the Ohio State Apprenticeship Council in November 2003, according to Dennis Evans, spokesman with the Department of Job and Family Services. Records show his training, which was sponsored by A & W Newell Co. of Toledo, should have been wrapped last year.
“We don’t have a record of completion,” Evans said. “All we know is that he registered in the program and has gone through to the point where we should have record of completion, but we don’t.”
……But even that’s not true, according to the Toledo Division of Building Inspection. Wurzelbacher can’t legally do plumbing work without a license, regardless of his boss’s certification.
A staff person with the Toledo Division of Building Inspection told On Call this afternoon that her division will contact Wurzelbacher to notify him that he can’t work without a license.
“We’re trying to track him down,” she said.
In the meantime, the Democrat-friendly local plumbers’ union is fuming.

I’ll bet, especially since Joe strayed from the party line and told the truth about the effects of Obama’s economic plan. This must be the Toledo branch of Obama’s “Truth Squad”; the Obama-friendly group of thugs who go around threatening law suits against people for criticizing THE ONE.

The Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (O.C.I.L.B.), Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, issues state commercial licenses to the following contractors: electrical, HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, and refrigeration. To receive a state license, an applicant must meet the following requirements: 1) be at least 18 years of age; 2) be a United States citizen or a legal alien-must provide proof of being a legal alien; 3) either have been a tradesperson in the type of licensed trade for which the application is filed for not less than five years immediately prior to the date the application is filed, currently be a registered engineer in this state with three years of business experience in the construction industry in the trade for which the engineer is applying to take the examination, or have other experience acceptable to the appropriate section of the board; 4) not have been convicted of or plead guilty to a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude or of any felony; 5) pass the examination in the trade; 6) carry minimum $500,000 contractor liability coverage; 7) pay the applicable fees.Also… Toledo has no legal standing concerning licensing as far as the rest of the county is concerned. Outside Toledo, state or county regulation controls. Joe and his employer are not based in Toledo. And Joe lives in Lucas county.
The Toledo board folks are complaining he hasn’t brought his apprencticeship to a close. But it doesn’t look like he’s passed the time limit. Of course he could just pay off the union and get it.. but then that would be illegal.
The big question is why the MSM is even doing this. The whole point of the exchange between Obama and Joe is what Obama said…not what Joe may or may not do.

The fact remains that Obama’s goons are trying to make an example out of Joe for, as they like to say, ‘speaking truth to power’. His media wing pounds a plumber who asked an honest question, rather than dissecting Obama’s Marxist “I want to spread the wealth” response.
The message here is to remind people that critics will be *dealt* with.
Imagine what would happen if this neo-nazi socialist ever gets into the White House.
