Obama on the IRS Targeting Scandal: ‘Cincinnati’s got a list, and suddenly everybody’s outraged’’

Obama sat down for an interview with his favorite bootlicker, Chris Matthews, and laid the bullshit on thick.

……Obama rejected the notion that the IRS’ targeting of Tea Party groups was illegal — or even improper — during his interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on Thursday.

Obama was at American University to sell his flailing health care law to the young people upon which the insurance exchanges heavily rely. As promised, Matthews allowed him to make his pitch with no tough questions or pushback.

But the interview became interesting when the Hardball host asked why Americans were growing increasingly skeptical of government.

Obama noted that the media never seems interested in government success stories. “When we do things right, they don’t get a lot of attention,” he said.

OBAMA: “That’s not — that’s not something that’s reported about. If, on the other hand, you’ve got an office in Cincinnati, in the IRS office that — I think, for bureaucratic reasons, is trying to streamline what is a difficult law to interpret about whether a nonprofit is actually a political organization deserves a tax exempt agency. And they’ve got a list, and suddenly everybody’s outraged.”

MATTHEWS: 501(c)(4) is tricky to begin with, how to define it.

OBAMA: To begin with.

Obama hasn’t done anything that can even remotely be considered ‘right’ during the last five years.

Under Obama’s direction, the IRS didn’t have any trouble defining his preference of sympathetic leftwing groups over Tea Party/GOP organizations. Any request from groups with “patriot”, Tea Party”, or “conservative” in their name was automatically placed at the bottom of the pile or discarded entirely.  IRS employees testified to that fact, and much more.

A run down of IRS corruption:

According to 2012 emails obtained by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, top Internal Revenue Service Obamacare official Sarah Hall Ingram discussed confidential taxpayer information with senior Obama White House officials.

Lois Lerner, then head of the IRS Tax Exempt Organizations division, also received an email alongside White House officials that contained confidential information.  More emails uncover Lerner’s role in the conspiracy, including proof that she gave confidential taxpayer information to the FEC, violating federal law.

IRS employees in Cincinnati were warned not to talk to the press “or risk losing our jobs.”

J. Christian Adams, the former DOJ attorney who blew the whistle on Holder’s refusal to prosecute the Black Panthers for voter intimidation, was himself targeted by the IRS for critical articles he published in Pajamas Media.

Obama met with top IRS official William Wilkins before the targeting began.  As a matter of fact, a Cincinnati IRS employee testified that it was quite clear the orders came from D.C.

The IRS engaged in the deliberate suppression, harassment, and intimidation of patriotic and conservative groups, and those who focus on the Constitution and criticize government spending.

They did it with Obama’s blessing.   He can lie, deny, and spin all he wants.  No one, except the toadies at MSNBC, are going to swallow it.

After all his abuse of power and malfeasance, ‘suddenly everybody’s outraged’.   We’ve been outraged for awhile, asshole.
