Just when you thought his campaign crime syndicate was cut off….
Hat Tip to Big Government.
While America is distracted by Democrats’ attempts to unconstitutionally ram government-run healthcare down the throats of the American people, the Obama administration began preparing to resume funding to President Obama’s favorite community organizing group.
The fiscal floodgates are opening for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), the president’s former employer and legal client, despite a congressional ban on funding the activist group that has long been a practitioner of election fraud.
In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag quietly ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.

Orzag’s directive: http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/assets/memoranda_2010/m10-12.pdf
ACORN is a criminal element whose members are under indictment for a variety of felonies, yet Obama continues to prop them up financially.
If Bush had pulled something like this, the leftards would be shitting their pants.
She’s a true believer appointed by Clinton. She was the one that said the city of NY had to fund an art exhibit in the Brooklyn Museum after Rudy Guilliani pulled the funding because of a portrayal of The Madonna that blended elephant dung and porno pics.
I’m in agreement. My point is that the whole Congressional defunding was just a scam, a set piece. A body full of lawyers didn’t know it couldn’t stand up to judicial review? Obama just signed off on it without a peep? The fix was in from the beginning.
The ball then passed to Holder’s DOJ who dropped any further investigation.
Regarding the Obamacare thing there are 38 (last count) states that are prepared to file suit. Hopefully they’ll have more intelligent judges in their districts.
Dan,
Oh yeah, it was definitely fixed from the beginning. I’d like to know what that Federal judge got in return for her ruling.

The whole defunding thing was designed to fail from the beginning. It’s another progressive scam and sham. Congress handled it in a way designed to allow for a court challenge so that Acorn could then shop for a progressive judge who they knew would overturn their action. The charade was designed to give them cover. My question is this. While they were granted the funds in 2009 and the ‘legal action’ pertained to 2009 why are they getting funded in 2010 and beyond? Where is the process of investigation and cutting off that Gerson noted?
It’s incredible to me that we are continuing funding Acorn. When did this become a lifetime grant?
Dan,
After the initial firestorm, Congress voted to defund them.
Then a Federal judge overturned that, claiming that it was “unconstitutional”.

And now, the OPM put its rubberstamp on the deal. Not much of a “process”. Real unconstitutional shit being committed by Congress and Senate, gets the same pass. On a side note, I’m guessing that if ObamaCare gets shoved into law, there will be a class action suit brought in front of the Supreme Court.
