‘Occupy’ Can Now Add Murder and Disease to Their Repertoire (Updated)

‘Occupy’ has turned out to be a bigger crime wave than expected.

Oakland, California:

Leaders across the country felt increasing pressure Friday to shut down Occupy encampments after two men died in shootings and another was found dead from a suspected combination of drugs and carbon monoxide poisoning caused by a propane heater inside a tent.

Citing a strain on crime-fighting resources, police pleaded with Occupy Oakland protesters to leave their encampment at the City Hall plaza where a man was shot and killed late Thursday.

The Oakland Police Officer’s Association, which represents rank-and-file police, issued an open letter saying the camp is pulling officers away from crime-plagued neighborhoods.

“With last night’s homicide, in broad daylight, in the middle of rush hour, Frank Ogawa Plaza is no longer safe,” the letter said. “Please leave peacefully, with your heads held high, so we can get police officers back to work fighting crime in Oakland neighborhoods.”

Mayor Jean Quan said the city would issue another official notice to protesters to leave the camp, but she did not give a deadline.

Since the shooting, anonymous fliers have been posted around the encampment urging protesters to leave.

“Occupiers, turn on your brains and see the harm you are causing to our town,” it says. “You have devolved into mob rule. You have lost sight of the goal.”

City Council President Larry Reid said outside City Hall that the shooting was further proof the tents must come down. He was confronted by a protester who said he wouldn’t be in office much longer.

“You didn’t elect me,” Reid snapped back. “You probably ain’t even registered to vote!”

Reid said the encampment has been a major setback for the area while attracting sex offenders, mentally ill and homeless people, and anarchists.

“This is no longer about Occupy Wall Street,” he said. “This is about occupying Oakland and extracting whatever you can get out of Oakland by holding our city hostage.”

Burlington, Vermont:

The city closed half of City Hall Park and put a halt to all camping at the Occupy Burlington site Thursday night while police investigate a shooting in a tent that cost a 35-year-old man his life.

Victims of sexual assault shouldn’t contact the police, just report the incident to one of their ‘Occupy’ buddies. Note the retarded` “twinkles” sign.

Tuberculosis (not surprisingly) has found its way to the ‘Occupy’ slugs.

The home base for Occupy Atlanta has tested positive for tuberculosis.

The Fulton County Health Department confirmed Wednesday that residents at the homeless shelter where protesters have been occupying have contracted the drug-resistant disease. WGCL reports that a health department spokeswoman said there is a possibility that both Occupy Atlanta protesters and the homeless people in the shelter may still be at risk since tuberculosis is contracted through air contact.

And now scabies and ringworm. How lovely.

From the SantaCruz Sentinel:

Police issued four tickets from Friday to Monday morning to people smoking in the park and having an open flame, police spokesman Zach Friend said. One woman also was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Sheriff’s deputy April Skalland said deputies have issued 16 tickets for illegal lodging and arrested seven people around the protest since Oct. 7. The arrests have been for being drunk in public, being under the influence of drugs, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, Skalland said.

Police said there have been reports of ringworm and scabies at the camp in recent days. County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment about health conditions at the camp.

Lane said he planned to continue talks with Occupy campers this week.

I can hardly wait for leprosy.
The violent, deranged, disease-ridden ‘Occupy’ vermin have inflicted mob rule wherever they squat.   It will get to the point where the citizenry at large will get fed up with them and the brain dead politicians who allow these thugs to hold their cities hostage, and will start fighting back with as much force as it takes to rid their towns of the scourge.
