‘Omnibus Bill’ passes, with funding for WOT in Iraq

WASHINGTON – The Democratic-controlled House is expected to give President Bush an end-of-session victory in his yearlong battle with anti-war lawmakers over Iraq by approving $70 billion for U.S. military operations there and in Afghanistan.

The vote Wednesday also would represent the final step in sealing a deal between Democrats and Bush over how much money to provide domestic agencies whose budgets are set each year by Congress. The Iraq funds have been bundled with an omnibus appropriations measure to create a massive $555 billion package that Bush has signaled he will sign.

The bleak spot: This piece of legislation is filthy with the Democrat’s pork spending, weakened border security, undermined national security, removing the ban on illegal ‘sanctuary cities’, and funding illegal alien lawyers.

American citizens need to rise up against the Dem crapweasels and their collusion with illegal aliens.

We’ll see. The trouble is, the same type of cockroaches keep getting elected. It usually takes a huge collective outcry from the public to change anything. As you can see, the Dems wanted to avoid that by trying to ram the bill through at the last minute. They didn’t expect so many pundits and bloggers to make the time to scrutinize the contents. They were wrong. At least we know what they did. Now, we have to undo the damage by throwing the bums out, and demanding new legislation.

More and more, as I watch the not-ready-for-prime-time cockroaches in the Congress reel it out and step all over it wearing track shoes, I get the feeling that there will be a whole lot of very surprised, shocked, saddened, uncomprehending LSDs and RINOs on 8 Nov 2008. They won’t know what hit them, won’t understand how it could have happened and will blame anyone and everyone but themselves. A lyric from a WW I anti-war song applies: “When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?”
