When 17 year-old punk Thomas “TJ”  Lane walked into Chardon High School and shot 5 students at point blank range, he left three dead and immeasurable grief for their friends and family.  The three dead students are:  Demetrius Hewlin, 16, Russell King, 17,  and Daniel Parmertor, 16.  The two seriously injured:  Joy Rickers, 18, is in stable condition.  Nicholas Walczak, 17, is listed as serious.

I don’t think it was random.  According to some sources, Lane was angry at Russel King for dating his ex-girfriend.

The usual descriptions have been used to analyze the behavior of someone who commits that kind of crime; “sullen”, “attended alternative school for troubled kids”, “troubled homelife”, “blah….blah….blah…”

Lane’s father, Thomas Lane, was a contestant in the domestic fighting arena; he served prison time for felonious assault on a police officer and his ex-wives. 

TJ Lane lived with his grandparents. By all accounts, no one at Chardon High School or the “alternative school”  bullied him. Lots of kids grow up in dysfunctional familes but never end up shooting fellow students. If he wanted to expend some bullets, he should have pumped the fucking lead into his old man.

Right now, he’s being charged as a juvenile, but given the heinousness of the crime, that will be upgraded to adult.  This is one of those cases where putting this little creep through a trial is a waste of taxpayer money.  His defense attorney will argue the “bad childhood, mentally ill” crap and no one will buy it, especially a jury.  Unfortunately, he’ll never get the death penalty, just life in prison where he’ll be allowed to breathe precious oxygen and get three hots and a cot at our expense.  Just take him out, put him up against a brick wall and shoot the son of a bitch with the same gun he used in the murders.

Case closed. Justice done.
