Remember when this black conservative was attacked by an SEIU mob?
St. Louis County police say six people were arrested. Two of those were arrested on suspicion of assault, one of resisting arrest and three on suspicion of committing peace disturbances. Carnahan was gone when the ruckus started.
Kenneth Gladney, a 38-year-old conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with “Don’t tread on me” printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room of the St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was waiting to be treated for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face that he suffered in the attack. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack started.
“It just seems there’s no freedom of speech without being attacked,” he said.

Well, the police report has finally been published. So far, Bob McCulloch, the St. Louis DA, has refused to bring the appropriate charges against the SEIU punk who attacked this man.
The report is very descriptive about what happened.
Part of the narrative: (Page 6 of 24)
Officer Porter:
Witness Number 2’s Sandra Hines statement of the incident concurred with Harris’ account of the incident. She did add that victim Gladney did nothing to provoke this assault.
At this time I was contacted by the victim, Kenneth E. Gladney. I asked Victim Gladney if he needed medical attention as I tried to determine if he was okay. Victim Gladney appeared shaken and his clothes were in disarray. Victim Gladney stated that he would covey himself to the hosptial at a later time to be evaluated. I then asked Victim Gladney what happened during the assault.
Gladney stated that he was handing out pens and buttons outside the gym. He stated that is when suspects (Perry) Molens and (Elston) McCowan, along with a third suspect who is unidentified at this time, walked by his table. Suspect McCowans picked up one of the buttons from Gladney’s table and said: “Who’s sellin this shit?” Victim Gladney stated “I’m not seling anything, It’s free.” At this time Suspect McCowan said, “What kind of nigger are you?” Suspect McCowan then reached across the table and punched Victim Gladney in the face. Victim Gladney added that Suspect Molens grabbed him from behind, at which time he was struck several times and taken to the ground. At this time he was struck several more times. He doesn’t know how many people struck him or how many times exactly he was struck after he was on the ground.
The report further describes the imbecilic behavior of a Brian Matthews, as related by another officer on the scene, Officer Brandt:
As Captain Monteleone was assissting us with crowd control, a subject later identified as Brian Matthews, walked up to him and purposely fell onto the sidewalk in front of him. While laying on the ground Matthews asked people around him if he (sic) saw the police push him down. Captain Monteleone observed Matthews laying on the ground yelling that he was being beaten by the police, trying to draw attention to himself. Captain Monteleone placed Matthews under arrest and handcuffed him without incident for Interfering With the Duties of a Police Officer.

In all there were six arrests of SEIU thugs and their associates.
Apparently, McCulloch’s office has no problem filing trumped up charges against Republican candidates:
Three months after Kenneth Gladney and Kelly Owens were assaulted in the Bernard school parking lot following Russ Carnahan’s town hall the charges still remain in hibernation at the County Counselor’s office. Upon contacting Bob McCullough, I was told that Gladney’s charges fall into Patricia Redington’s jurisdiction.
Redington was quick to file charges back in 2000, when a staffer for Democrat Richard Gephardt stalked serious contender Republican Bill Federer on a parade route. The staffer, James Larrew, tried to shove his camera into Federer’s face until Federer was forced to push the camera away. The staffer freaked, flagged down a cop and claimed that he had been assaulted. Larrew then called Gephardt’s office and spoke to Joyce Aboussie, Gephardt’s top political adviser, who then contacted Redington’s office. Two days later Redington filed assault charges against Federer, on Columbus Day, a national holiday; after which Redington, Aboussie, and Larrew conducted a media blitz, all arranged for by Gephardt’s office.
From an account of the incident:

BTW: Redington is a Democrat-appointee with close ties to Gephardt’s closest adviser, Aboussie.
Looks like the Democratic political hacks in St. Louis know how to cover each other’s asses.
As of this date, Patricia Redington refuses to answer emails and questions pertaining to her selective prosecutions.
This might have something to do with it:
On the morning of August 6th, Sam Stein reported at the Huffington Post that labor unions had released a comprehensive memo, detailing tactics to counter what were called “town hall protestors”. That same day, a White House official said to reporters, “If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard.”
Those both happened the morning of the assault on Kenneth Gladney. Is it any surprise that on the specific day that Big Labor and the White House signaled a commitment to ‘punch back’ at the town hall protests, an innocent bystander, Kenneth Gladney, was brutally beaten?Consider also that the individuals charged with the assault on Kenneth Gladney worked for SEIU. In the first six months of the Obama Administration, Andy Stern, head of SEIU visited the White House 22 times–more than any other private individual. The date stamps for his visits stop at the end of July, so we don’t fully know how much interaction he had with the White House during the ’summer of discontent.’ We do know that HHS Secretary Katherine Sibelius hosted a conference call with SEIU leadership the day after the Gladney beating.
