Sarkozy: Obama’s ‘Overrated’

What happened to the slobbering “love fest” Europe had during THE ONE’s campaign?
French president Nicolas Sarkozy on Obama:

……Mr Sarkozy is pouring cold water on Obama’s efforts to recast American leadership on the world stage, depicting them as unoriginal, unsubstantial and overrated. Behind leaks and briefings from the Elysée Palace lies Mr Sarkozy’s irritation at the rock-star welcome that Europe gave Mr Obama on his Europan tour earlier this month.

The American President’s call “to free the world of the menace of a nuclear nightmare” was hot air, Mr Sarkozy’s diplomatic staff told him in a report. “It was rhetoric – not a speech on American security policy but an export model aimed at improving the image of the United States,” they said. Most of Obama’s proposals had already been made by the Bush administration and Washington was dragging its feet on disarmament and treaties against nuclear proliferation, the leaked report said.

Personal pique and French politics are also behind the souring of Mr Sarkozy’s self-promoted honeymoon with the United States. On the personal side, the French President is needled by the adulation for an unproven US leader whose stardom has eclipsed what he sees as his established record as a world troubleshooter. “The President is annoyed by what he sees as the naivety and the herd mentality of the media,” said a journalist who is privy to Elysée thinking.

He nailed it not just on the media, but on Obama’s total lack of leadership proficiency. The only thing he left out was Bamster’s amplification of Euro-socialist economic policies. His infliction of ‘spread the wealth’ socialism will end up making everyone poor.

He talks real good with a Teleprompter though.

Sarkozy is not the only one to notice the Emperor has no clothes. Angela Merkel isn’t impressed with his radical policies either.

“Community organizing” doesn’t work outside of Chicago.

The Obamessiah will set a new benchmark for complete political incompetence. The only question is how much damage he will do in the process.

  1. I’m glad the rest of the world is waking up to the fraud. Too bad more Americans don’t realize it yet. Not sure about Sarkozy’s motivation on this one but I’m glad he’s voicing his negative assessment of Obama.

Does this make Sarkozy a terror threat? Just curious. I wonder if Homeland Security Chief Napolitano has opened a file on Sarkozy because of this.

    1. Lyn and George,

There are those of us who tried like hell, through the entire campaign, to tell Obamabots just how socialist, inept, and character-flawed he is, but we got called “racist” for our efforts. Looks like they voted for a “change” they didn’t bargain for.

      SFC MAC

  2. Yes, I’m a liberal democrat American and I believe the American people as well as the world will realize
soon that he is not what perceived to be. He is just good at hiding behind his teleprompters blowing hot airs.
I agree that he is exremely overrated. He is mostly elected by the helping hands of the mainstream media, otherwise he was never elected.
