In 2008, he showed up at Kent State’s yearly whine fest to use the occasion to rail against US involvement in Iraq and praise the violent students who rioted on campus and in town in May 1970. Ritter has said in public that he believes life was better under Saddam Hussein, whose regime killed, tortured, raped and terrorized the Iraqi people and its neighbors for over two decades.
