Wow. Big surprise.
As Pakistan delays a long-awaited offensive in North Waziristan, the remote area dubbed the last bastion of indigenous Taliban and al Qaeda, Taliban insurgents are quietly staging a comeback in several districts and territories where the military earlier declared victories.
Simultaneously, Islamist fighters are spreading into parts of the Pakistani tribal belt that previously had no Taliban presence as they also extend their reach and bolster roots in main areas of Pakistan.
Officials in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) Secretariat said recently the Taliban, along with foreign fighters from al Qaeda and other militant groups, are regaining control and safe haven in Bajaur, Orakzai and Mohmand tribal districts, in addition to extending their influence in the Khyber region.
The officials, who based their assessments on information provided by local government officials and intelligence agents based in these areas, said that large groups of heavily armed Taliban were recently observed on patrol in large vehicles in all these districts. They also were collecting money in different areas of these districts.

Pakistan isn’t exactly a staunch opponent of Islamic terrorism. It’s an Islamic state that harbors terrorists, and has Taliban members in its military, government, and intelligence agency. The fox is running the goddamned henhouse.
Secondly, when we kicked the asses of Al Qaeda and Taliban out of Iraq and Afghanistan, they simply moved on to other muslim sanctuaries. Hence, the need to obliterate every single Middle Eastern country that sponsors Islamic terrorism. Pick one. They all do.
The American public must divest itself from the fantasy that we are fighting an enemy that plays by the Marquis of Queensbury Rules, or can find Geneva on a map. They don’t, and they can’t. They understand our way of thinking better than we ourselves. They don’t hesitate to use children as suicide bombers or human shields. They’ve got good occupational experience at torture, mutilation, homicide bombings, and gratuitous executions. Anyone who thinks we shouldn’t decimate as many as possible, has a crap factory for a brain.
What is the American interests is pouring in billions of dollars in Pakistan in economic and military aid, given the fact that it the epicenter of Islamic terrorism and actively harbors terrorists… ?
Why do the US hesitate to use the big stick against Pakistan……..as Pakistan will fall in line within a few days of bombing !
