The CDC’s Idiotic Talking Points About Ebola Come From a ‘Community Organizer’

CDC Director Tom Frieden fondly remembered his time as a “community organizer” in a 2012 commencement speech at Oberlin College. Frieden described misreading a health report which he had to turn upside down to get right.

Frieden’s role as a “community organizer” was first reported in the New York Times in a profile. The philosophy major reportedly worked on the Mississippi Delta.

“We established an information system that held everyone accountable for every patient treated–a feed back loop that let us know if we were succeeding or failing.” Frieden said, recalling his efforts against tuberculosis. “And this is crucially important. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. It’s not enough to want to do well. Rigor about what you’re really doing, what you’ve really accomplished is so important because if you’re falling short of the mark it’s very important to find that out early so you can make gradual changes and improvements and achieve your goal.”

His proclamations about Ebola and the handling of the crisis is mindbogglingly stupid.

“Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said during a telephone press briefing Wednesday that you cannot get Ebola by sitting next to someone on a bus, but that infected or exposed persons should not ride public transportation because they could transmit the disease to someone else,” like someone sitting next to you on the bus.

……FRIEDEN: Yes, CDC vetted the message — and, yes, we believe it’s accurate.  I think there are two different parts of that equation.  The first is, uh, “If you’re a member of the traveling public and are healthy, should you be worried that you might have gotten it by sitting next to someone?” and the answer is, no.  Second, uh, “If you are sick and you may have Ebola, should you get on a bus?” and the answer to that is also, no.

Did he even realize what he said? The moron can’t keep his meme straight. Remember, these assclowns are in charge of health crisis management.

You just can’t make up this shit.

Between all the douchebags with the disease lying to get into the country, and the Obama regime’s refusal to stop flights from areas known to have the outbreak, we’re pretty screwed.  And of course, Obama scrapped the quarantine regs that would have kept the disease at bay.

Consider entire planeloads full of people,  the airports,  taxi drivers, families, and probably half the city of Dallas by now.  The truth is, health officials and scientists are not entirely sure how the disease originated and how it’s exclusively spread.  The common sense thing to do, would be to treat the patients on a hospital ship, not on land where it can spread like wildfire.

The DHS, TSA, and the State Department don’t monitor potential disease carriers any better than they do illegal aliens and muslim terrorists.
