Apparently, the fallout was caused by a few factors: the snubbing of Elon Musk’s NASA pick, DOGE activity in the Pentagon, and Elon’s criticism of the
H.R.1 – One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which he insists doesn’t go far enough to cut spending.
Indeed, the spending party has continued after Musk stepped down from DOGE But at least the House GOP passed major DOGE cuts.
Elon vented his frustration by posting a ridiculous accusation that President Trump was “in the Epstein files”. It’s patently false and even Epstein’s defense attorney stated that it is ‘authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively’ untrue.
Trump maintained his composure and simply said: “I have no hard feelings”.
Musk ended up deleting his comments and admitted that he was wrong to publish some of the posts he made that kicked off the political skirmish.
The country and President Trump are grateful for Elon’s success in cutting fraud, waste, and abuse in government. It’s an invaluable service that needs to continue.
The two of them will remain friends, but Elon’s unproductive tantrum will always be in the background.
