THE ONE Gives His Speech in Cairo

Fox News has the transcript: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2009/06/04/transcript-remarks-president-obama-cairo/

He continued to insult America on our behalf and re-wrote history in terms that pandered to his audience.

Excerpts from the speech:

……More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations. Moreover, the sweeping change brought by modernity and globalization led many Muslims to view the West as hostile to the traditions of Islam.

Colonialism? By whom? America never colonized any country in the Middle East.
Sweeping change…like indoor plumbing, electricity, women’s rights, and freedom of and from religion. That kind of ‘sweeping change’? Islamic ‘traditions’ are stuck in a 7th Century screed. If you want to know their aspirations, check out MEMRI, Al Jazeera, or the latest Ayman al -Zawahri video.

The attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the continued efforts of these extremists to engage in violence against civilians has led some in my country to view Islam as inevitably hostile not only to America and Western countries, but also to human rights. This has bred more fear and mistrust.

And for good reason. The Islamic scumbags that attacked this country followed the proscribed philosophy laid down in the Koran.

I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

Yeah, good luck with that.

You’ll notice not once did he utter the word “terrorism”.
Obama may want to tell them to seek another way to express their religion other than beheading, blowing things up, and targeting the West with violence. Given the fact that Islam preaches misogyny, anti-democratic dogma, and abject hatred of Jews, Christians, and unbelievers, America and Islam are mutually exclusive.

Part of this conviction is rooted in my own experience. I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.

His own background includes attendance at a muslim school in Indonesia. His father and grandfather were muslim. Other members of his family are muslim. Obama also had subsequent indoctrination in “Black Liberation Theology”; a radical Marxist-based ideology practiced by Reverend Jeremiah Wright in the Trinity United Church of Christ. Obama sat in the pews listening to Wright spew his anti-American, racist crap for 20 years.

Dignity and peace, my ass.

I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. The first nation to recognize my country was Morocco. In signing the Treaty of Tripoli in 1796, our second President John Adams wrote, “The United States has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Muslims.”

Adams didn’t live to see the 21st Century ‘tranquility’ of Islamofascist terrorists. He might have amended that statement.

As a matter of fact, Adams took a dim view of Islam:

Adams’ quote:

“…he [Muhammad] declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind…The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God.”

Obama continued:

And since our founding, American Muslims have enriched the United States. They have fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch. And when the first Muslim-American was recently elected to Congress, he took the oath to defend our Constitution using the same Holy Koran that one of our Founding Fathers – Thomas Jefferson – kept in his personal library.

Enriched…with anti-American hate speech from muslim clerics, muslim professors within academic intelligentsia, and from groups like CAIR and the American Muslim Society.

The Congressional muslim in question is Keith Ellison, a Democrat from Minnesota. He’s a radical who used Jefferson’s copy of the Koran at his swearing in as a publicity stunt.

Jefferson did not think highly of muslims:

From Jihad Watch:

Jefferson had his dealings with the Muslims, that is with the Barbary Pirates, the Muslim corsairs who preyed on Christian ships and seamenm. He negotatied with them. His own view of their behavior is on record. Unlike John Quincy Adams, who took the measure of Islam (google “John Quincy Adams” and “Islam”), who denounced Islam as a belief-system, Jefferson merely denounced the behavior of all the Muslims he had any dealings with — but in the end it amounted to the same thing. His view had little in common with that of Bush and Blair and the others now “taking a leadership role” all over the ill-led West.

Obama’s ‘support’ of muslim women:

Moreover, freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s religion. That is why there is a mosque in every state in our union and over 1,200 mosques within our borders. That’s why the United States government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.

So if they want to wear one to cover their face for their driver’s license, that’s okay? You gonna punish the DMV for demanding they remove it long enough to get their picture taken?

The trouble with ‘choice’ in Middle Eastern Islamic cesspools, is they have no choice.

Too bad THE ONE didn’t mention the other ‘choices’ alotted to women under the Sharia Law of the ‘religion of peace’. The ‘choice’ of a 12 year old girl to go through with an arranged marriage to a fat, rancid, 70 year old camel salesman, or succumb to an ‘honor killing’. The ‘choice’ of being stoned to death for the audacity of being raped. The ‘choice’ of being treated like chattel all of your life.  But the choice to wear a hijab in a free country elicits praise.

So let there be no doubt: Islam is a part of America.

Yeah, especially since 9/11. They left an indelible mark with the slaughter of almost 3000 people on our soil in the name of their ‘religion of peace’.
Nowhere in the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution, is Islam mentioned.
Last I checked, America was founded with Judeo-Christian values.

In Ankara, I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam. We will, however, relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security.

Doesn’t this jackass ever get a case of cognitive dissonance?

Let me also address the issue of Iraq. Unlike Afghanistan, Iraq was a war of choice that provoked strong differences in my country and around the world. Although I believe that the Iraqi people are ultimately better off without the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, I also believe that events in Iraq have reminded America of the need to use diplomacy and build international consensus to resolve our problems whenever possible.

We used diplomacy for 12 fucking years as Saddam Hussein continued to develop his WMD program, and thumb his nose at the U.N. resolutions.
The choice to stop a WMD-wielding megalomaniac who supported terrorism was a good one.

All in all, his speech was just more bullshit on stilts.
