He might get his hair mussed.
Given the rules changes in football, those depictions aren’t far fetched. It’s gotten to the point where all a quarterback has to do is whine, “that big Defensive End is a brute and he hurt my feelings” and a flag gets thrown for “roughing the passer”.
I remember the smash-mouth football of the 60s and 70s. They played through more pain than the modern players could ever imagine. They’re evolving into a bunch of high-paid prima donnas who shudder at the thought of getting their uniforms smudged.
The game is heading toward flag football. Give it just a few more years.

That’s a great one. I think it is part of a larger plan of emasculation of the American man.
As a female who served a total of 30 years in the United States Army, I don’t believe it’s “emasculation” per se. It goes much deeper than sports. A more accurate description would be the wussification of America. We have schools suspending children for playing cops and robbers with toy guns on the playground and even in their own front yards.
College campuses want PC Halloween costumes.
The idiots in charge of our national security want to rid any reference of the muslim enemy from our foreign policy.
They’ve even gone so far as to threaten military service members who profess anything other than Islam, or who dare to focus on muslims as the real enemy. The terrorist attack at Ft. Hood by muslim Nidal Hasan is still classified as “workplace violence”.
The process of evisceration has been gradual over the years, but it certainly gained momentum under the Obama regime. LeftProg malfeasants have been emboldened by the over-the-top PC environment he created.
America has devolved into a society that no longer believes in the rugged individualism, courage, and self-determination that made us a once great nation. It’s shameful and I can’t see a future, at least in my lifetime, when it will ever return.
Well said and I stand corrected. I agree with you entirely on your points. Viewing from a male perspective though, when I see a 24 yr. old manny, preened and shaved who will fight for nothing in life, other than his spot on his girlfriends couch I, of course, view that as a loss of manhood. That was more the point that I was making as that behavior has been made perfectly acceptable. What has been considered “Manly” behavior has been under full scale assault. Honor, fortitude, pride and rightousness coupled with a strong , kind and independent will no longer exists in many of the younger males in our society. I am not implying that these attributes don’t exist in Women, I am just commenting on the state of the American “Man”
