I cannot believe that any sane Republican would vote for this trash. The 2700 page monstrosity contains some of the worse waste, “woke” agenda and civil liberty violations ever. Did they even READ it?? Very little of it has anything to do with roads, bridges, or transportation services. There is, however, plenty of pork, political favors, and Big Brother tactics.
There’s a provision that mandates all cars manufactured from 2027 onwards be equipped with breathalyzers, it also grants gender identity as a “protected class”, $10 Billion to Create a ‘Civilian Climate Corp’, $20 Billion to ‘Advance Racial Equity and Environmental Justice’, $100 Billion to Expand Broadband Internet (government control), $50 million for studies on how to tax us more with road usage and per-mile fees, $2.5 BILLION in green-energy handouts, they want to sell our oil reserves and make sure the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration gets some more money, $16 billion for renewable energy programs, (look forward to more rolling blackouts), $1 billion for the Appalachian regional commission, (there’s Manchin’s payout), Manchin also secured a billion dollars for his wife, who is co-chair of Appalachian Regional Commission, $75 million for the Denali commission, (there’s Murkowski’s payout) a ton of money to make federal bureaucracies bigger with allocations to the FCC and the Federal building fund.
This is another 1 trillion dollar nail in America’s economic coffin and a blow to our freedoms. This is just more government abuse of power. And they’re going along with it. The GOP is worthless.
